THE GREATER Western Sydney Giants have continued mining their local talent pool signing Corowa-born youngster Tim Segrave.
Segrave, who played for the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup this year, came through the AFL NSW/ACT talented player program, representing the RAMS at both under-16 and under-18 levels.
Despite battling glandular fever through the year, the 18-year-old key defender impressed recruiters with his speed and rebounding ability.
He said he hoped he was leading the charge for the recruiting of local talent to the Giants.
"I'm just honoured to be here - it's a big change moving into a full-time program, but it's one that I’m looking forward to making," Segrave said.
