OK, all. I've added a poll to see which of the 16 candidates named in the Fox AFL article is your preferred coach. (Not necessarily who you think will get the job - who you want.)
Presented by The Golden Ticket - For Medallion Club tickets and Corporate Box tickets at the MCG and Marvel.
Maybe, but chances are they're all looking for new jobs next year anyway. It's rare for an incoming coach to retain more than one or two assistant, if that.![]()

Interesting, I was higher on Hinkley at the start of the year that I am now but wouldn't hate but would still have other people over himGWS interest in Ken Hinkley revealed (24.5.22) - do we read much into this? Ken Hinkley to GWS?
I kind of agree.![]()

If anything you are very entertainingYou can also look at it another way.
What if the Club met with MM, JH and DS and said we’ll pay each of you 2/3rds of a HC salary to co-coach the club for 2.5 years starting today.
In that timeframe we believe we can be a Top 4 side and potentially win the flag
Neither of these three coaches is a lock for a HC role at another club.
However, if they succeed with the Giants, they are a lock to become a HC either with us or elsewhere.
For each of them in their respective circumstances, that is a very attractive opportunity.
The bonus is you get to work with people you personally trust.

The concerns are genuine.More I think about it the less interested I become in Clarko, I'm sort of worried it's not going to work out and feels a lot like Malthouse going to Carlton. His contract would be really big so the soft cap would be stretched thin and with the high cost of living in Sydney we'd probably miss out on support staff, assistants, recruiters etc. Sam Mitchell has done such a good job this year, they're so exciting and fun to watch and really competitive with largely the same list Clarko had last year. Going with a first time new assistant, would take up way less of the soft cap and would give us the ability to surround the new coach with experienced assistants and more support staff. I'm sure I'd talk myself into it (pretty easily) if Clarko is the guy but at the moment just think I'd rather take a chance with a new guy.
In coming to sydney's cost of living... they are effectively already coming for undersThe concerns are genuine.
Devils advocate, the fact that it is Clarko may get a few assistants to come for unders.
The biggest thing for me would be is how motivated is he, it seems looking from the outside that wouldn't be a problem, but he doesnt have a whole lot to prove and has been doing it a long time.
The truth of it is that Father time is undefeated, so eventually the game will pass him by, the million dollar question is whether that is now, soon or a ways down the track. You kinda dont know without the benefit of hindsight.
No current season stats available
The cynic in me thinks this speculation would somehow help Chris Scott's Manager with a favourable new deal.Chris Scott is set to become Geelong's longest serving coach, having signed with the AFL club for a further two years.
Guess it rules that earlier thought bubble about being interested in coaching GWS out as purely speculative BS.
If anything you are very entertaining
Shockingly wild, but entertaining
I think the whole football industry didnt see that comingI think the last time you made that observation was when you told me there was zero chance Leon would be gone before the bye.
So I’m happy to keep pushing the envelope!

The interim coach after round 2 is ridiculous
I too am now cranky at LC but you probably should try to live in a more realistic world tbh…. Cos there is no chance of this narrative happening
Lol you have a crystal ball my friendApology accepted.

This is so cool to see her getting a real chance with a great development opportunity, seems like a really sharp footy mind. Hope she gets a chance in the AFLNot my thoughts as such, but useful for fans to note ...
