Sulking.

Carlton will be a powerhouse within two years, at that time Bryce Gibbs will still be younger than Eddie Betts is now.

Maybe it's time the Crows think about a rebuild rather than try to clutch onto what has already slipped past them?

Definitively the funniest post of the thread. Thank you.

I know the mentality down at Princes Park, you guys think because the Tigers can do it, you guys can do it. #soslogic

Your team will not even get into the 8 within 2 years let alone be a powerhouse. Let that sink in for a while.

Thats also not taking into consideration, injuries, suspensions, draw, player movement etc etc. You need to do a lot of things right to be a powerhouse.

Seriously you guys are conservatively 5+ years away of doing anything.

Richmond finishes at the end of H&A ...

2013 - 5th
2014 - 8th
2015 - 5th
2016 - 12th
2017 - 3rd

They haven't just lept up from nowhere.

I never said they did.

I actually have put an argument in in that the Tigers imo had a better H&A season than us.

Here's the facts..

2019

Kelly(24) Talia(28) Brown(27)
Laird(25) Hartigan(28) Smith(27)
Mckay(31) Sloane(29) Atkins (25)
Lynch(29) Jenkins(30) McGovern(25)
Betts(32) Walker(29) Otten(30)

Jacobs(31) B.Crouch(25) M.Crouch(24)

Douglas(32) Gallucci(21) Milera(22) knight(25) Keath(27) Hampton(26) Greenwood(27) Seedsman(27)

That's every crow that will likely be there in 2019 that has played a game this year on your entire list. I have highlighted the players who have shown enough to suggest they will take their game to another level in that time. I have also underlined the players who are likely to produce less in 2019 than they are now.

Compare that with the Blues..

Plowman(24) Jones(27) Weitering(21)
Docherty(25) Marchbank(22) Byrne(24)
Cuningham(22)Gibbs(30) C.Curnow(22)
Pickett(22) Casboult(29) Fisher(21)
Silvagni(21) Mckay(21) Murphy(32)

Kruezer(29) Cripps(24) SPS(21)

E.Curnow(29) Williamson(21) Macreadie(21) Polson(21)
Lamb(26) Phillips(28) Wright(29) Graham(25) Boekhorst(26) Kerridge(26) Rowe(31)

I can't see where there any improvement is coming from in that crows list, I see some regression with 6 of the best 22 aged 30 and over.

On the flip side you can quite clearly see the Blues have a massive upside with 26 players who will be aged under 30 and over 20 in 2019. Crows will only have 20 players in that demographic.

Based on exposed form, players who will likely take their game to another level in the next 2 years..

Carlton: 13
Crows: 4 (maybe 5 if Milera pulls his finger out)

Players who will regress..

Carlton: 3
Crows: 6

In my view the Crows need to take this opportunity with want away players etc, and overhaul the list rather than try top up for another crack at the flag.
I've just realised how SOS can keep doing what he's doing - selling his story to gullible dickhead like you is a walk in the park.

carlton flog board

The reality check is need by your side thinking you will get a better offer this year than you were offered last year....only Carlton supporters live in a universe were they think other teams exist to bring to reality SOS' grandiose recruiting plan, you know that really hard thought out plan of picking up GWS players.

Meaningful negotiations you say, go check out the cost of the Mitchel trade......you know the younger bloke from Sydney who cost less and was a better player than Gibbs in 2017.

You blokes exist to live in SOS' wet dream.
Haha so you were serious. Wowzers even your fellow crows fans are telling you a 2nd round pick as your best offer ain't gonna get close.

Holy s**t, you're delusional.

We are a grand finalist and minor premiers. Our players that "won't improve " are already A+ talent!

Meanwhile, you have a bunch of spuds you think will become C- players?! So what!

You're miles off. Every s**t team can do a list and say how hopeful they are they'll improve.

The difference is we're already there.

Didn't the Tigers win 15 games two of the last three years?

Carlton needs to do a few years of actually winning before they'll get near actually contending.

Three, maybe four things that are now different to last year.

1. Gibbs is one year older, and one year nearer the end of his contract.

2. Carlton may be keener for the AFC picks, to use in other trades.

3. Both sides may have reflected on and learnt from last year's impasse.

4. Does Gibbs still want to move to AFC? If so, he and or his manager need to make the case to the CFC.

I didn't think a deal would get done last year, much more likely this year IMHO.

Yowsers, I thought it was the Powah faithful that drank the Koolaid, a Powerhouse, two years, Carlton, oh my happy Aunt.

You have to have one decent player to be a powerhouse. Lol

+1

You cant help but love that blind madness of faith by the Blues supporters, Im worried about the Crows being in the top 4 next year and that Blues supporter thinks the Blues will be a powerhouse.

FFS show some respect.

Seriously you forgot a few Players Doedee (22), Jarman (21), Himmelberg (21) would even put names Like Pokohle (21) Signorolla (21)

And you name a few players who will struggle to get games in 2018 in Otten, MacKay, and possibly Douglas.

Crows have 9 A graders in that starting 18
I put up. I also showed how that number will likely be around 10 in 2019.

There is enough evidence to suggest that by 2019, 14 of that Carlton team will be A graders
