No offence, but your squad was a laugh outside your best 26 players when I saw the team the Herald-Sun had put together. You're showing your extreme ignorance here
I sincerely doubt Bryce will ever return to Adelaide as a player. His father Ross is a friend of Sticks (ex Glenelg boys). Both Bryce and his father publically declared that Bryce "will be a one club player". Still - great news.
Interesting that his father played a lot in back pocket. I heard that he may have had some input into Pagans "apprenticeship" plan last year. Not sure how true it is.
But great to hear his is moving midfield now. This guy is incredible. He is not super fast - but does not need to be. The ball is gathered and effectively discributed before you can lay hand on him. Cant wait!
There's a greater chance of DC getting something right than Gibbs leaving in two years to return to Adelaide.
Carlton's list will be the better playing group in two years time.
Adelaide's depth outside their best 26 players is non-existant and nothing to be excited about if you saw the team the Herald-Sun put together the other day.
The players ranked from 26-44 are average to say the least.
And that's being kind.
They will be an average team when they lose Goodwin, Mcleod, Bassett, Burton, Edwards and Doughty in the space of two years. They just don't have much class coming through to replace their gun players who are the wrong side of thirty. They'll be competitive over the next two years with their list, but it will be another five years before they will be even contending for the top four again.
Unless they can recruit a Pavlich or another big name player, they do anything startling any time soon.
Well, not until next year at least.and now we don't have to put up with a yr of Gibbs is going back to SA threads.![]()
But, but, Rex07 said he was going home!
gibbs will extend his contract just before his contract runs out

I Agree if all those players leave at once we could be in trouble except doughty IMO losing him wont hurt us very much at all im hoping he wont be in our best 22 by the end of the year unless he steps up drastically.
They just need to draft midfielders and build some depth there, Van Berlo, Knights and Reilly I rate but I think they will definitely need a couple of elites in the Kerr, Hodge, Bartel range.
What about Scott Thompson? He is only 24 and polled 18 votes in the Brownlow last season. This guy has lots of improvement to come and is already clearly superior to all of the Carlton midfielders/players excluding Judd.
I look forward to seeing Gibbs run out in Crows colours for years to come... He will if he ever wants to play finals football.

i dont think there will be any issues with that one.Great news that Gibbsy has decided to remain at Carlton for the next 2 years. Now we need to get Murphys signature.
