Been doing them twice as long as you Kane mate .....and a lot larger

I was having a discussion .....if you care to read, i was mostly asking questions .....i wasn't coming from a position of knowing how the AFL contracts worked ......but then neither do you, so get of your high horse
Yawn.

You said some silly things - I corrected you - not for the 1st time lol.

Ps. What have you been doing twice as long? Years of experience don't necessarily equate to competence. I was appointed as finance director of a $300m organisation in my mid 30's & have qualifications that covered contract law, so I know little about contracts. ;)

Why do Port fans keep telling me that they don't have salary cap pressures because they didn't have to pay Ryder/Monfries contracts this year and that extra money rolls over to next year, thereby having 'extra cash' or room to move.
Because Rucci has been pulling that line out of his hat again, despite no one else who covers the AFL mentioning it as a possibility.

Would prefer not to talk about it, but you were attacking my credentials without even knowing me.

The beauty of this site is I have pleasantly discovered people with all sorts of backgrounds & should never assume.

If Gibbs doesn't get done, I'll be very conflicted.

On one hand, I'll be very glad we didn't overpay.

On another, I'll be very mad we didn't get a gun mid, which we really need right now in order to not be stuck in no man's land.

If Carlton are laying those sort of terms on the table then it's a good thing we're not getting him.

Lets do process of elimination...
Matt Crouch Brad Crouch - no chance, we are trying to strengthen our midfield so makes no sense to trade a starting midfielder, especially young ones.
Lever - no chance unless he requested it which seems unlikely. This would expose us down back short term and even more so long term.
McGovern, Cameron - manager already stated they have no interest. If any of these players were to be involved it'd be one of these 2 we would most likely budge on if we were really keen but I highly doubt it and unless they are happy to go its all moot as they are under contract.

I don't think Carlton will be waiting too long for us to review and begin talks again, I'm pretty sure they know where we sit.

If they were the terms .....both clubs would have put out press releases saying stalemate and deal not proceeded with ......did that happen, no you say ......then this wasn't said !
