Taking it up the arse and losing two first rounders for Gibbs will send a message to the rest of the competition about our ability to trade will also have ramifications for us in the future.

Gibbs alone would not have made any difference to us beating Sydney in the semi and progress further.
Pretty sure if I was in Reids position, I'd rather lose the two first rounders and leave it at that

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That would be embarrising if O'meara went for less than Gibbs did.
I would actually rather roll the dice with O'Meara than Gibbs.

Gun mid which would have won us games off his own boot singlehandedly and will cost us less too. Yes he is injury prone but its the risk.

JOM is a great talent, but has not played a game in two years.

He is a punt. I can understand clubs not wanting to pay over on that.

Gibbs is a known quantity.

But two first rounders for him is too much IMO.

May be tempted to go Full Lindy and microwave my membership then form a ticket, via a Facebook petition to spill the AFC Board if it is true...............

Your take on this article?....What they say Lyons was on this year and a hint at what his management are looking at to re-sign?

Poles apart from what some on here were saying he was on this year though I don't recall it being linked to any articles etc to back it up?

At this stage it appears more likely Lyons will head to an interstate club rather than back home to Victoria via a trade, although remaining at the Crows is not out of the question.

It’s believed he was paid approximately $350,000 this year. However, averaging 22 disposals in 20 games for a team that made a semi-final has only strengthened his market value, something that is yet to be reflected in Adelaide’s offer.

One list manager at a rival club told foxfooty.com.au that the former Sandringham Dragon would command somewhere between $450,000 — 470,000 next season at a rival club.
I was referring to purchase price, not contract price. Anyways, according to TMS, Lyons was on nothing remotely similar to that amount. Miles, miles less. Surely a fringe player wouldn't have gotten 2 or 3 years at that amount while the club was yet to conclude he was worthy of a spot in the 22. Sounds quite implausible really.

It's easy to say that, but there's 0% chance of it happening in reality.

This is where Carlton can really bend us over.

Lyons to walk to the preseason draft and the Blues get him. In effect then we can lose 1st 2016 and 2017 and Lyons.
That would be a ******* disgrace.....
Might aswell close up shop, this football business isn't really for us
