No thats actually just bullshit. Given Camerons age I wouldn't straight swap him for Gibbs.
Agree .....you just have to factor in 10 years of Charlie versus 4 years of Gibbs in your trade value analysis ?

Pick 13, if it brings a structural 10 year CHB and potential GF CHB to Carlton ......does he have more value that Gibbs at 28 yo who will not play in a Carlton Grand Final (Malifice )

My opinion would be that Marchbank holds a greater value ......and even higher if that deal also allows you access to #5 in the draft

I reckon TeX has a couple quality years left in him before Gov takes over.
Please. You can't really believe Gov is going to be a KPF?

Couple of inches short and 15 kegs light

He's a 3rd tall. Like Tom Lynch. Neither of them are ever going to take over from Tex. They would get annihilated if they had to play on KPDs

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I understand why Carlton are pissed, they let Betts go and he is become an absolute mega star at Adelaide. Probably fear the same with Gibbs, it looks really bad for them.

Bryce Gibbs deal will rely on Carlton securing quality midfielder during trade period

CARLTON will only consider allowing Bryce Gibbs to be traded back to Adelaide if it can secure a quality midfielder in the trade period.

The Blues were aware of Gibbs’ family issues in recent months but were still blindsided when the 27-year-old asked for a trade on Monday.

Gibbs’ partner Lauren Tscharke is also from Adelaide, with the pair welcoming first son Charlie early last year.

The club has considered but dismissed as unrealistic the possibility Gibbs might commute back and forth for a period of time until his issues are resolved.

TRADEHQ: LATEST NEWS AND WHISPERS

Adelaide small forward Charlie Cameron could be part of a potential trade for Gibbs, with the Crows also having to offer up pick 14.

But the Blues would need to secure a quality midfielder either through the Gibbs trade or in exchange for Geelong-bound Zach Tuohy to consider releasing their star midfielder to Adelaide.
Carlton entered the trade period looking at bulking up its midfield rather than losing a premier onballer at the peak of his powers.

The Blues are aware they are well short of the 10-12 midfielders they need to rotate through their side even when Marc Murphy returns next year.

Adelaide’s Brad Crouch has also been raised as a potential swap for Gibbs given the Blues’ lack of midfielders.

The Blues have gone cold on Richmond’s Ben Lennon, who the Tigers believe hasn’t worked hard enough to maximise his talent.

They will start to horse-trade on a swap for half-back Tuohy in coming days, aware the Cats only want to trade a player rather than draft picks.

If the Blues could secure an exciting young midfielder from the Cats for Tuohy it would help ease the pain of losing Gibbs to Adelaide.

The last footballer to commute as he finished his vet degree — Blues football manager Andrew McKay, from Brisbane to Melbourne — said the Blues had not given up hope of Gibbs staying.

“The thing we need to remember is Zach is an uncontracted player so he is well within his rights to explore his options,’’ he said.

“Bryce is a unique situation for family reasons. It doesn’t stop it making this an opportunity for us.

“We want to make the club better, we want to build our depth, we want good young players in the establishment and that’s what we will endeavour to do.”

I think alot of men would be suprised the amount of times young women get sexually harassed each day, just yesterday at work a man in his 50's asked me if I wanted to come home with him, I said No, he said well why not?

No isn't enough sometimes and that's scary af No should be the end of the conversation it rarely is...
Abusing someone or harrassing them has always been bad. I have alot of girlfriends and they will tell you they dress the way they do to be attractive. They will also tell you that they dont mind hot guys looking and smiling but they dont like creepy guys doing that.
Life aint that black and white.

I can imagine Shooter being asked if he wanted to play for Carlton and the words 'get stuffed' being said
It goes a bit deeper than that for Gov. There is a pull for him to come home and I can tell you that West Coast has been into him. He would love to play with Jeremy but hates West Coast.
If he leaves AFC it will be back home and not to Victoria.

Carlton decides to hold Bryce Gibbs to his 3 year contract .......... View attachment 298988
You blokes are most welcome to spend 1.8 million on a bloke that doesnt want to be there.

The laugh will well and truly be on you clowns.

How did Mitch Clarke go at Melbourne. How did you rate Cam McCarthy's season at GWS?

Im not getting this Cameron thing.

He looks like a pretty run of the mill small forward who hasnt exactly set the world on fire. Low disposal, fast, a few tricks.

Why the angst at the request? For what its worth, I'd rather a second rounder.
You're not missing much. He's one of the more overrated players on Adelaide's list.

He has a fantastic highlights reel, which is why he's hyped up severely. The reality is that, when he's not doing that 1-2 spectacular things, he doesn't do nearly enough of the mundane to justify the esteem with which many of the supporters hold him.

Pretty much your run of the mill small forward. I cant believe he is only 19. A bit like Betts in that regard, just looks a lot older.

I know we're looking for outside speed to complement Cripps on the inside, but this one is a bit left field.
