What the poll does not factor in is that we don't waste draft picks the same way that Carlton do. Lochie O'Brien, they would have been better off trading it to GWS for their 2017 delistees! The poll should be Gibbs v Bonar.

1) Gibbs + X = Fogarty* + Richards (or Higgins) + Y
2) Cameron = O'Brien (or Brander)

* we would have taken Fogarty at 10 if we had it
X = 2018 pick ~20 and ~38
Y = some picks that we didnt need

If we didn't do the Gibbs deal, then the Cameron deal doesn't look as good (O'Brien). If we don't do the Cameron deal, the Gibbs deal doesn't look as good (no Fogarty). Overall, both deals together are looking like a win. We will know by how much of a win after the 2018 draft period.

I would have traded Cameron for a half eaten loaf of mouldy bread.

Fogarty > half eaten loaf of mouldy bread.

Gibbs is the interesting one. If we get a flag he will be worth it. If we don't and O'Brien becomes a star then it would not matter as we would have used our pick on Fogarty anyway. In the end it would have been Cameron vs someone else if we already had pick 10.
