Does anyone have any details on Gibbos injury? That Moron from channel 7 Mark Stevens reporting he may have rib cartilage damage and miss 3-4 weeks.

Would hurt if we didn't have him and Lake v cats

Did anyone watch on the couch tonight!!

Couldn't stop laughing when Gerald had hawthorn finishing 6th on the ladder!!!

What a joke of a commentator!!
Lol it's not that unlikely, we finished only 2 games ahead of 6th last year. A couple more bad games than we had last year, some unfortunate injuries or even younger teams stepping it up a notch or two (which they will) and we could drop to 6th with relative ease

Like how channel 7 reported Hodgeys set back!!!
Channel 7 was all over the Hale incident too, reporting it as though the guy was up on manslaughter charges or something. Meanwhile, Channel 9 merely gave the game highlights of the weekend's win, ignoring the incident as there really wasn't much to it. One of these channels is obviously heavily influenced by the HUN's try-hard 'shock tactics' style of reporting. Can anyone guess which one?

So if there is no Gibson or Lake - Rough goes back and Spangher comes in ? Bailey and Hale do the ruck work or does Grimley come in for his debut ?

B: Guerra Schoenmakers Spangher
HB: Stratton Roughead Birchall

-hitting the ground limping.

Depends on if we really want to exploit them in the ruck or break even. Seeing as how we usually lose in the ruck a break even may be an improvement with Grimley in the side. Big game to debut on though. Maybe he will come in and allow Rough to play a full game back. Who knows, hoping Gibbo is in the side to be honest but it may be a blessing in disquise like the injuries in 2011

Lets not get a Grimley Circle Jerk happening because he's played one good practice match and did one or two good things in a NAB Cup game. He's still miles off and would get slaughtered against the Cats.

Anyone seen or know where the 'official' injury lists can be found? afl.com.au doesn't seem to have it... I would have thought it would be prominent as we near Round 1. Can't find it on the hun or the age either...

I have us 3 - 6 if we start slow and 1 - 3 if we do what we should (read: have to) and start well (say 5 - 2 after 7). 6 is not out of the question with our first 7 games but neither is top if we can manage to have a positive ledger after the first 7.

Oh the old GCJ ? That old chestnut.

Just asking the question SLB. Hoping to promote discussion.

I'll take it you don't feel Grimley is ready for a debut ? Fine. I would select Bailey ahead of Sam particularly against the Cats. Sam played well v North and did well against the Tigers - so he did more than one or two good things and Clarko was pleased enough with him to give him a special mention. He has made great strides this pre-season.

Yes he has made great strides over the preseason, but he needs to show top form consistently in the VFL first as he's been predominantly been a VFL reserves player so far in his career. Amos has had a good preseason, but that doesn't mean he should be rewarded with a game.

As for the special mention, that mention came after Clarko was questioned about Grimley.

Grimley's got promise, but one good practice match does not make a player of his experience worthy of AFL games.

EDIT: This week is almost feeling like we are starting a Tom Schnieder pt2 thing where Tom played one good NAB game and everyone started a massive love fest over him and in some cases called Clarko inept as a coach for not playing him.
