Clearly now that the people have spoken "Yes", Gil's work at the AFL is now done.

By far the best credentialled candidate if he chooses to apply. At least Eddie would operate without fear or favour, and in the best interests of all the stakeholder clubs. A man of unquestioned integrity, tact and diplomacy.
I like Eddie a lot and think he has the energy and history to be the nearly perfect candidate. BUT, his idea to move both Melbourne stadiums to the east side of town is the stupidest idea to ever enter his head, then come out his mouth. How would that suit anyone north or west of Melbourne from the suburbs to regional areas I'll never understand.

I assumed he was taking the piss by suggesting Eddie.
Last time he got a job of CEO somewhere it went real well.
Being a president and being a CEO is very different, not only is he not the most suitable candidate but he's not qualified at all.

Its just news too good to true, like waiting for neighbour Angie dressed in necklace and painted toe nails to drop in during my 1230 - 2pm window.

Ignore them.

Seriously though, it's been discussed for sometime now & there's a lot of people who would like to see someone like Gale take up the job. You can't have him to yourselves forever so Tiger fans should be prepared to put the needs of the game ahead of their own, you've got that long awaited flag after all.
