Time for a beer. I'm suffering an acute case of Acronym overload.

i can't even remember which one this is.
Well Kev and Julia wanted a CPRS but the LNP, along with the MCA convinced us that we would be shooting ourselves in the foot. Kev trotted along to meetings of the U.N and WTA, along with G8 and decided he would dither to buy some more time. That explains I think in plain English.

They would have had a mandate on the ETS if they went to a double dissolution like they threatened to - they didn't, now they are going to bring it in on the sly.

Different acronynm, same shit.

Shit move. 90% of pre-poll and postal votes have been cast already (including mine). Springing something this massive on the electorate at such a late stage is a dog act.

I voted Liberal because I'm in a Labor safe seat, but I would have preferenced Labor first if I was in a marginal - and be ridiculously pissed right now. People quite legitimately were under the impression that a Labor government meant that there would be no ETS in the next term.
