Have you read the Vic Chief Magistrates' summary of the documents seized in the S&G raid, and why he denied Wilson legal professional privilege?
So, what did Gillard do Dry Rot?
You've read everything. You are in the know.
Can you let us all stop holding our breath, and tell us what she did, and what she should be convicted of?

Off the top my head to name a few, fraud in setting up the Association, fraud with the Blewitt POA, fraud/money laundering with the Kerr Street property transaction.

No wonder IIRC 8 Vic Fraud Squad cops are on her case.

So from what you've read, she is guilty of that?
Yep.

On her case? What case?
Are you saying that 8 Vic Fraud Squad cops are directly investigating Gillard, or that they are investigating the AWU/Wilson scandal?
Both. Why do you think they raided S&G?

No. He said it was "off the top of my head". In other words pure jizz. Nothing to do with anything he has actually read (and understood).
Maybe I should have used "from memory" to cater for simple folk to describe what has been detailed in this thread and based on what I have read NB documents.

You could never find a legal opinion to support your assertions though, could you DR?

Why raid S&G? To obtain documents relating to the investigation of a former union official who is accused of embezzling union funds, perhaps?

You have completely missed the point. And haven't read the Chief Magistrate's finding.

Hint: were the lawyers of say Eddie Obeid, Michael Williamson and Craig Thompson raided?

I like how you use the word "fraud" when you really mean "provided advice" in the first part. Then you use "fraud" when you really mean "allegations of dodgy paperwork" in the second part. Finally you use "fraud/money laundering" in the last part when you really mean "attended the auction to do".

After all you don't seriously believe any of them amounted to fraud right? Surely you're not making those accusations without any evidence of personal gain or evidence that she knew of the illegal activities. You wouldn't do that would you DR?

Read the thread. You clearly know little about these matters.
Sadly I've read this thread before. That's hours of my life I'll never get back.

Yet there's still been no evidence provided that she knew of the illegal activities, no evidence provided that she benefited from them and no evidence provided that she had anything to do with the Kerr St property beyond attending the auction. Unless you're just not telling us about these mountains of evidence it seems that you clearly know little about the definition of the word "fraud".

Dry one -Gillard is as straight as they come-she is your classic Welsh/Adelaidian girl guide type -she made a mistake in trusting a goose of a boyfriend, but of all people in this country who actually deserve to be pursued like this, by you. Well -she is the last person you should be looking at. Why don't you waste your time at least chasing up some worthy offenders- big businessmen who have done some serious damage perhaps?
I'm a bit worried for you, that this obsession speaks of an ache in the heart that wont go away-what do you think?

If you say so. Seeing as how we discussed this earlier in the thread and read it differently and you called on Contra Mundum for a legal opinion I'm starting to wonder about your powers of recollection.

In any of the other cases that you cited was there a paper trail with their legal representatives that was crucial to the case being prepared? Are you being deliberately obtuse mate?

Any day now. You mark my words... any day now.

What is your definition of "about to" just for future reference? If you tell me that Richmond is "about to" win a flag I'll start thinking it might never happen in my lifetime.

ask people who knew her from her Slater's day. They would not agree with your assessment.
Medusala, I know people who have worked closely with her over a number of years and my assessment is exactly how they see her. Can't comment on the Slater years but doesn't fit with the description I have of her!

I know someone who knew her well from those days ie acted opposite her on a number of occasions. Ruthless and hard was his description. Opposite of girl guide. How do you think she got the leadership? Had it handed to her?

I would think most pollies who get to the leadership would need to have a ruthless streak about them. Doubt Abbott and Shorten are any different.

Her claims of young and naïve are ridiculous. She was a partner in a law firm FFS.

Re this thread, I don't regularly bump it with posts like "any day now".

The investigation of Thomson took ages, and what we do know is that there is an active Vic fraud squad investigation currently being undertaken. That will end with charges being laid or not.

Yep but don't really see how ruthless and hard necessarily preclude her from being straight-laced. Almost part of the job description for a lawyer and a pollie I would have thought. I think she was talked into doing the leadership thing for the 'good of the party'-that is the sort of person she has been described to me as. She had the great majority of labour pollies wanting her to take over, after all when Kev got out of control.
You say tomato and I say Tomayto-leave it at that?

Gillard was over in Dubai doing a forum, was asked a question by an audience member, about woman's rights in the arab world , her reply was she didn't feel qualified to respond to this , so much for fighting misogyny whenever she comes across it, how two faced can you be , no wonder the people of Australia saw through her
