So nice to read that Gillard rubbed so many people up the wrong way that they are still talking about her. Love it.
A crime is a crime no matter how long it is and who committed it, and if she has committed a crime she should have the full force of the law used against her.

zero flaw old boy. Why the apologism? Odd that you harp on about something as irrelevant as children overboard yet close your ears to fraud allegations.
Apologism? I agree with JRoo. If a crime has been committed then may the fullest extent of the law be brought to bear. I'm just not leaping to any conclusions about who or what is actually being investigated. It's one thing to accuse our former PM of having established a slush fund 'off the books', it's entirely another to suggest that she knowingly benefitted from misappropriations. To do so may indeed be libelous.

I don't recall even commenting on 'Children Overboard'.

IF!!!! Key word. Shame some people don't save their glee for WHEN/IF it happens.
Where have I ever said she is to be excused IF she committed a crime?

Why is "the children overboard" deception of the Australian public irrelevant? Oh, because it happened a political lifetime ago (in 2011) and involved, one way or another, a goodly many folk who were Ministers then and are now in a position to deceive the Australian public and/or (in the case of Morrison) continuing to mislead the public on matters refugee.

What fraud allegations (against Gillard)? Oh, you mean something you can reliably extract from a self-confessed liar and crook, Ralph Blewett, about events that occurred over 20 years ago. Good luck with that.

You are Whistling Dixie here Noddy. A union official (allegedly) syphons money to an election fund of a Labor MP and you want to bring Tony Abbott's name into the affair?
You should not jump the gun so quickly Lester.

I used "Tone" in the context of his number one cheerleader on here who used to preach the virtues of one Kathy Jackson with much fanfare.

Union whistleblower Kathy Jackson has been ripping into both the Labor Party and the former (until February 2012) President of Fair Work Australia, Geoffrey Giudice, for months now over the goings on within the embattled Union and the investigation resulting from her claims.

Kathy Jackson has caused the union movement untold damage and brought the Federal Government to the brink of collapse. One would assume that the public may be interested in knowing a little more about her and any conflicts of interest she may have.

One vital piece of information that is not widely known about her is that her partner is a man named Michael Lawler.

Who is Michael Lawler?

For starters, according to reliable sources, Michael Lawler is friends with a man named Tony Abbott. Apparently, the two of them socialise regularly. Conveniently, Tony Abbott is also the leader of the political party making so much ground out of the claims Michael’s partner is making.

Michael Lawler works for an organisation called Fair Work Australia, where he is a Vice-President on a salary of $400,000 a year. The only person higher than him at that organisation is Iain Ross, who just replaced Geoffrey Giudice – the one who Tony Abbott and Lawler’s partner Kathy Jackson were attacking daily – as President of Fair Work Australia.
No connection...

Deflecting due to corruption in other unions????
Why is keeping this thread on track a deflection? AFAIAC the corruption in the HSU is indisputable fact. Needless to say I am no apologist for corruption anywhere. Whether Kathy Jackson (Tony Abbott's champion) is part of that corruption is something that will no doubt be answered by the Royal Commission and at which she has many difficult questions to answer. But what has it got to do with this thread?

So why are Vic police involved? Why the recent court ruling?

Does that sound like nothing?
What exactly are they investigating? Gillard?
I am so lucky that I have never met anyone with such incredible bias and prejudice opinions like you. You are so fixated on anti-Labour it is sad, do you always see things with blinkers? No shade of grey anywhere.
Authority on everything Australian and you don't even live here do you?
