With limited opportunities despite playing very good WAFL footy, where do you guys see this bloke?

Probably plays a similar role to Black in your team off the HB, and with the emergence of Johnson and Mundy there seems to be no room for the mid-sized defender. Good kick, can run, maby suspect in the air?

Is he from Victoria? What would be his value on the trade table? Pick 35-40 in this supposed "super" draft?

Would probably be borderline team selection at the moment if he didn't do his hammy a month ago....

Is signed up for another year & won't be traded or going anywhere....at least for 2007.

Personally, I still think he lacks a bit in the aggression/hard stakes...but he has come in leaps this year in that department. Will be playing in the GF this week in the Wafl.

He spent a little bit of time in last weeks prelim final (South Freo V Claremont)in the ruck and did a fair job roving against Bandy.

Rate him very highly does chop up the WAFL must be a chqance to break into the side next year with a few of the blokes not getting any youngher

Kenny, why do you think he would be traded. I don't think he is good enough to attract interest, although if delisted he would be picked up. people talk about polak and Medhurst as depth players, but for me Gilmore and Browne are the real depth players. Polak should be getting a game, it is just he has too much competition on our list.

Re Gilmore rucking, he wasn't any good at it, but still broke even. I think the shock value gave him an edge. I think they were wondering who the Hell would be going up next... J Carr maybe? Fantastic for his development because rucking is a tough gig. he is quite tall.

IMO he has ability to make an impact, fast for his size, good long kick but i agree with plugga lacks that aggresion/hardness so far.at 23 next year looks like make or break

What year was that ?

2001, maybe? Not sure, just saw a picture of the SF colts premiership team of some recent time, in a newsagents in Freo about a week ago, and stopped to look to see who i recognised and Gilmore was in there. Think it was 2001, maybe 2002.

H did not look great in the WAFL GF. Not that many South Freo boys did, but I would have thought Gilmore could impose himself a lot more.

He did a hammy 2 weeks ago. They played him on one leg. Not surprisingly was stuffed at the end of the game. And didn't have his usual run.

Think about it. A guy who normally picks up more than 30 possessions at WAFL level suddenly can't get hold of the pill. It just doesn't make sense.

Poor kid shouldn't have even played.
