Commetti has been shitting me for awhile, I don't like him commentating our games, you can just tell how much more he likes the Eagles, even perhaps to the point of disliking Freo. He rambles on and think he's really clever, I'm sorry Dennis, but pIssoff.

All of the commentators commentating yesterday shitted me off. Even when we were winning by 50 + points, it was still "Wow, Melbourne are so great...they've done well today!" and the occasional comment on how good Des was. Geez, give us some credit!

While on the topic of commentators, did anyone listen to 6PR at all during the first quarter? I swear they said Warnock debuted...I'm an easily confused person but my lord, did they confuse me yesterday! I swear I saw him play for West Perth on Saturday, so how did he play for two teams? They were commenting on how he dominated in the ruck...

As for Gilmore, he did ok IMO. From what I remember, he hit a fair few targets, and his goal was fantastic (I think it was his)!

Walker's second half was quite good.

If Parker is okay Campbell might be the unlucky one dropped for Johnson.
I think you might be right. Adelaide don't have much height in their forward line but quite a bit of speed. Johnno might make an interesting third tall down in the forward line. But has the flexibility to play back.

It was suggested in one of the papers they might play McPharlin forward ... but I think we need his speed against Adelaide.

the thing i like about the kiwi is he is different to both taz and pav who are great athletes who run all day. he is a crash and bash KPP who may not take many marks but he will provide a contest, and judging by picketts reaction he makes his presence known

That was the first time i have ever seen Pickett take a backward step! He actually pulled out of that contest.

I'd like to see Connolly try a few more things during a game now that Johnson is back and Grover is in good form. If Sandilands, McPharlin and Johnson were all to play from the goal square for 20 minutes a game it would really throw the oppositions backline.

It might throw Pav and Taz a little bit as well.

I agree with the resting ruckman thing, but our tall defenders are probably needed more in defence.

Having Campbell down there didn't bother them yesterday.

Seriously, all that will happen is our best players will be standing 20m from goal without getting the ball. We need good players at both ends of the ground. A solid defence is proving more important than a topline forwardline.

Our forward line has looked dangerous when Sandi has been in the goalsquare, and would be even stronger with a better marking player down there. I'm only suggesting McPharlin and Johnson spend 2 x 10 minutes each in the forward line a game, not spend 100 minutes down there.

Our backline has been leaking lately, but Grover has looked good on the big forwards. He probably won't get the chance to do that when Johnson returns.

Maybe grover can continue in his current role on the big forwards and MJ get used loose in defence. Id prefer to see grover play on guys like lucas, lynch, hall, gehrig and brown. These guys are a pretty strong bodied and grover seems to cope well with that sort of player. And MJ could play on guys like richardson, lloyd, tredrea, and riewoldt who are a little bit more agile well maybe not richo.
