Lalor has entered concussion protocols and rumored to have a broken jaw.

Worth weeks or not? If the AFL deem it a reportable offence you'd assume it would have to fall under rough conduct - careless (breach of the duty of care), severe impact, high contact - 3 weeks.

Has anyone been suspended for pushing a player into traffic before?

Not sure how you can put it down to just being unlucky. That's like saying getting concussed in a tackle where you pin both arms is just unlucky.

It's called footy where some accidents happen. Lalor would not even think there's anything with it. Sometimes oiutcomes happen, what do you want blokes to not play footy? Ginbey plays the game hard but fair, this was just an unlucky outcome that's all. Not as if Lalor is missing many games anyway.

Pretty old school way of thinking there.
Ginbey gunna get away with this but the next player who does it will get a month.
Yeah fair possibility that is the case.

I'd say the same thing if it were a Cats player, a Giants player or any player. Can we stop suspennding blokes on outcomes, it's become ridiculous. We saw how many miss 3+ games last year on outcomes? Hey you blokes got 1-2 of them fairly sure that were unlucky. Suspend the action if need be, but I hate this notion of "oh but look X has an injury".

Absolutely zilch in it, just unlucky that's all. So now watch the AFL suspend the guy for a month

Pushing a guy in the back mid marking contest into oncoming traffic is not "unlucky". It's a thug act and one of the most dangerous things you can do on a football field to an opposition player

It's a push come of it, he hasn't taken the guy high, he hasn't pinned the arms in a tackle, it's just unlucky that's all it is. Lalor would laugh at suggestions of suspending him for this, it's two young guys that is all it is. He won't even miss games in all likelyhood.

Well the impact level of a charge is determined 'on outcomes', in this case a broken jaw. So yes, it has to be considered...

A push isn’t rough conduct.
Rough conduct can be many things.

(E) ROUGH CONDUCT
Rough Conduct is interpreted widely in relation to any conduct which is unreasonable in the circumstances. It is a Reportable Offence to intentionally or carelessly engage in Rough Conduct against an opponent which in the circumstances is unreasonable

Isn't it? Oh, Ok.

So if I push you into the fence with force, that's not rough conduct. Sweet.

At some point the AFL is going to crack down on this. It's rough conduct to intentionally push a player into contests while in vulnerable positions. Ginbey is looking at the market player as he pushes Lalor into him. That's not an accident.

If they don't do it for this incident, gurantee the next one they will.

Yes. A push isn’t one of them.

Move on, your player is unlucky and you’re annoyed. Rightfully so, I’m annoyed a quarter of our best 22 is currently injured but it’s nobody’s fault. Shit just happens.

Accidents can happen. Ginbey clearly trying to block Lalor and protecting the back of his team mate, got his timing wrong. Free kick for a push but there is no reportable action in it.

Tigers fans I understand crashing out about their number 1 pick being injured and I would be too, but there are no grounds for a suspension. Unfortunately for Ginbey he has to wait 12 days for the media to whip this up into a frenzy before he gets cleared.

There is no media frenzy about Ginbey's act.
