Mike Baird decimated Sydney's nightlife and now snorting rock cocaine in gutters is the only thing interesting to do in the harbour city. Very sad actually.

To be fair it was being done far before Baird ****ed the joint

I thought in the Fox Sports article they let slip the girls were Victorian Sydney AFLW players. Not that it really matters where. Gender equality showing through with drink driving and recreational drugs in the AFLW. Wouldn’t surprise me if some were experiment with other substances.

No, it wasn’t.

If you’ve ever busted up a rock you will know that it is not easy even standing up over a counter. Nigh on impossible seated in a gutter.

This all happened late last year and was kept under wraps until now. Meanwhile when Talia was caught several years back, it was in the news immediately, prior to any court appearance. Does the AFL treat AFLW players differently, or perhaps have times changed and they would no longer release information about a male player being caught (unlike in 2016)?

AFLW is absolutely being protected. They would be severely pissed at The Age for releasing this story.

Where was this special treatment for Jess Hosking (i.e. a player the media are actually aware of)? Her drink driving story was widely reported, including on the AFL website, within a day or 2 of the incident and prior to any court appearance.

Drugs have a different taboo to them and she was in Victoria.

General public isn't as aware of AFLW players unfortunately, fewer clicks, less shock when reported.

Has nothing to do with the drug involved.

A current Swans AFLW player (different to the 2 in the news now) lost her licence recently, and nothing has been reported on it. Probably because the player is not well known and it'll take time to raise eyebrows.

But if it's a reasonably high-profile player by AFLW standards, such as Jess Hosking or Abbey Dowrick, it still makes headlines pretty quickly.

It does. AFL in the middle of a drugs problem doesn't report AFLW players caught with drugs?

Of course, it's not the only reason but let's not pretend that the drug element isn't a factor.

Then explain why the other incident I mentioned hasn't been reported on.
