I know that you will be disappointed but you played very well for most of the game.:thumbsu: Its never easy the Perth Road Trip and you do it better than most.

All the best for the rest of the year.

Very mixed feelings. Though we could have pinched it, but probably didn't outplay them.
Impressed to see Bartram and Chris Johnson stand up and be that close in a game where Neitz struggled and davey turned in his worst effort of the year.
Nathan Carroll and Rivers were extremely solid and whelan's tackling fantastic.
Thought bell showed some good signs.
McLean and McDonald did good jobs and brad green was desperate. Robertson was brave.
On the other side of the coin, Miller looked terribly out of form, Pickett started well and went missing, Dunn was promising early and never featured after 1/4 time, godfrey played, johnstone wasn't his best, yze battled and we conceeded some pretty lucky goals.
Moloney, White, Jamar, bruce, all have improvement.
Overall, the most important thing is we bounce back next week and beat the saints on our home track or all the good work comes undone.

That is the worst we have played since round 1. In all honesty I am not too disappointed because they are the top team and if we had have played well we would have beat them over there. We need to find more consistancy (i know we won 5 in a row but if we want to be contenders we cant have these games)

We were terrible in Round 2 as well, at least we played hard today.

There was less accountability though, which was strange. We were playing against arguably the best team in the competition, but a lot of the time didn't man up or push numbers back.
If it's good enough against the Hawks, why not do it against a side actually capable of winning something?

Cameron Bruce is a great player, but for crying out loud, how can he miss those shots on goal? I know this is slightly off topic, but I just remembered I needed to get angry about it  :D

What i want to know is how Ben Cousins could stroll down the wing about 10 different times completely unmarked?

FFS, he won the brownlow last year, someone mark him up.

He's never been a good kick at goal. Brilliant at passing, but his kicking at goal really lets him down. :thumbsd:

Back to "The Robertson School of Goal Kicking"... and that goes for Robbo too. :o

You may not have seen the 100m sprint before hand on TV that allows him to "stroll down the wing"

It really is amazing what type of tank he has got

BTW

After watching the Pies 2 weeks ago and now Melbourne in Perth

I reckon your game in two weeks time will be a classic

Hell yeah, its going to be a great game. If we can get over the 'Aints this week, its going to be huge.

Yeh true, but more than us playing badly, WCE played well and shut down key players. Cousins, Judd, Kerr, Embly the list goes on. We had to be on the top of our game to win, we weren't but the signs were promising that we could fight it out.

I just don't want complacency, there is still a lot of work to do, especially if we want to play finals. I am happy for the team to be proud/happy, but not content, they still must improve their run and pressure and disposals, sepecially under pressure.
