Did I hear right, in NSW you dont have to wear a mask outside?
Correct.

Went for a walk yesterday outside in the northern beaches and probably saw 100 people out on my walk and not one mask.
People fishing with families obviously mingling, loads of people just hanging around talking to friends.

Overcomplicated rubbis.
It is a bit but not too far off other states.

QLD Masks

The issue may be more about how the guidelines are being explained and enforced in NSW.

In any case, Gladys has done herself no favours over the journey with her mixed messaging, pot shots at other states and following Scomo, probably explains the number of freedom fighters at today's idiot rally.

It's not that hard to put 2 and 2 together. It was confirmed at the time (never mentioned again and quickly swept under the carpet) that multiple people living in those flats attended the protest (which had taken place just a few days ago). So it's beggars belief that among that crowd in the tens of thousands they somehow managed to avoid infecting anybody else (or caught it themselves there) when less 50% who attended wearing masks in very close proximity to each other.

Out of interest, what reason did vicgov give you for rejecting your FOIA request?

Plus we know a positive case attended the BLM protest, ignored requests to stay home and isolate for 14 days and went to work at Northland H&M and started that cluster.

Do you have a link for that? They attended the protest, but didn’t pick it up from the protest.

BLM was just about one American dude? Was the trigger but not the reason.

But yes I don’t like any protests at this time, in a pandemic. Also remember BLM was before we went to harsher restrictions in Vic.
Again you have got your timelines wrong, wasn’t like we had BLM protests in the middle of lockdown, it never happened, no matter how much you want to pretend it did.

Never said it was, it was still during restrictions of just 20 people for outdoor gatherings and so 10,000 was a massive, massive breach of those restrictions.

But yes it was before lockdown, 14 days to be precise, quite a very remarkable coincidence

Do you have a link for that?

One of the new cases attended the Black Lives Matter march but was not infectious at the time. The source of acquisition for this case is unknown, and no links have been identified between this and other cases previously reported as having attended the march. This new case worked at the H&M store at Northland while infectious and the store has been closed while cleaning and other public health actions are undertaken.

So no links between the march and the spread?

Yep, officially the person acquired the virus somewhere within a 24 he period that coincided with the BLM March, they don’t know how or where, but are 100% sure it wasn’t at the event they attended that had other cases emerge from…

But that’s getting back to my original point, if the official story is zero cases from a protest of 10,000 with multiple people later testing positive, then you can’t claim today’s protest is going to be a super spreading event which will prolong lockdowns.

The official word is protests outdoors are perfectly safe…

No, the BLM protests could have been a super spreading event, but fortunately weren’t.

This display of idiocy could well be a super spreading event, particularly as we are dealing with a more infectious strain.

Nearly as pathetic as “Damn anti lockdown protesters are going to cause massive virus spread and prolong the lockdown, but BLM was perfectly safe and no cases emerged…”

You're not very good at this eddie. Besides BLM, what other things are you scared of?
