Once again our faithful captain has been Screwed by the TEAM OF THE WEEK Selectors by being left out in favour of Ben Rutten.

Surely they have to take into account the ability of the opponant you are playing against when selection these spots.

The actual team:
B: Adam McPhee (Essendon), Ben Rutten (Adelaide), Sam Fisher (St Kilda)

HB: Andrew Mackie (Geelong), Nathan Bock (Adelaide), Simon Goodwin (Adelaide)

C: Joel Selwood (Geelong), Sam Mitchell (Hawthorn), Kade Simpson (Carlton)

HF: David Mundy (Fremantle), Nick Riewoldt (St Kilda), Garry Moss (Hawthorn)

F: Stephen Milne (St Kilda), Matthew Pavlich (Fremantle), Cameron Mooney (Geelong)

FOLL: Paddy Ryder (Essendon), Lenny Hayes (St Kilda), Gary Ablett (Geelong)

I/C: Dean Cox (West Coast Eagles), Daniel Jackson (Richmond), Brett Deledio (Richmond), Brent Stanton (Essendon)

The reason:
Ben Rutten (Adelaide) – 'Truck' played a key part in restricting Melbourne to just four goals. Known better for stymieing opponents than his ball-winning ability, Rutten collected a career-best 30 disposals, easily eclipsing his previous best of 23.

What a joke how can Rutten's 30 disposals compare to Glass shutting down the Best FF in the Game ???????
Who did Rutten Stop ???? A Nobody thats who and the reason why Melbourne were goalless till the 3rd QTR was accuracy it had nothing to do with Ruttens ability.... Why not put the Geelong Defence in there as the restricted Brisbane to 33 pts 1 point less then Melbourne and Brisbane have a better forward line.

Absolute disgrace :mad::thumbsdown: Matt Burgan

You would think a FB getting 30 touches is a fair effort and an okay reason. Even if it was only against melbourne

I'm writing an angry letter to K Rudd as we speak. He will sort it out.
Can you ask about my $900 while you're at it? I still haven't got it. Though it may have something to do with the fact that I'm six months late with my tax return (again )

Only did my tax return 3 weeks ago and still waiting for the $900! Would really come in handy!

Anyway back on topic, doesnt worry me at all really. Both played good games, would come down to whoever is choosing the team, if they prefer the man on man or the playing off an opponent.

Not worried in the slightest
