Or you could try the movie look, where you put your hair in ponytail, with glasses, then you take the ponytail off and flick the hair back, take the glasses of, and presto - a hottie!

Is that what you do Dan. :D

Optometrists

Me, I can't get a decent prescription to save my life. Every pair of glasses I've got gives me a headache. I went in to the optometrist the other day who checked out my old glasses and told me he couldn't understand why they'd been set up for a shortsighted person when I'm long sighted. But he gave me the new glasses and I can't see more than 2cm in front of my face. I've been told I'm long sighted, short sighted, have astigmatism, convergence problems, allergic eyes..it's all too difficult.

Thought I'd bump this thread, with a completely new observation on the subject...

I've had my glasses for nearly two weeks now, and I've encountered a bit of a problem... keeping them clean.

Sometimes, with examples such as fingerprints, hot water steam, and the natural oils on my face around my eyes being what they are, it's hard to keep my glasses clean.

I'm finding myself cleaning my glasses three times a day or more, sometimes. And switching pairs doesn't do me much better good, either... only causes me to procrastinate on the task!

Is this normal for new wearers only, or does this go on for an eternity?

I hate people who, when they're talking to you, look at you over the top of their glasses. It's ****ing annoying for some reason.

Why is it that librarians always seem to do this? Bloody annoying and you feel like shoving their glasses back up their nose.

Keeping glasses clean is the challenge for all spectacled beings.

Anti-static Lens cleaner (usually from OPSM) is a must as well as cleaning cloths.

It does not help if you have a huge smudge in the middle of your lens (prob a defect in the glass (i can;t be frigged getting it fixed as i need new glasses anyway)) Apparently my eyes were going to stop growing (getting worse) by this time! Ha!

Eating Fantastic Noodles with glasses on is great fun!:D

Oh, and the people who say: "You need windscreen wipers on your glasses" when i wear them in the rain never fails to amuse me.

Should add that raindrops can be a bit of a problem, too.

And not the odd raindrop or two, but in the way of the storms, like we've had here in Ballarat today.

Ever try to walk down the street with rain streaming down your glasses (for those who wear them)? I don't think you can't help but feel clumsy-- knowing that you'd like to wipe them clean, but only to be distracted by more raindrops?

Just a strange observation I had this afternoon...

LOL! I actually had someone in the office say that to me today (see above post)! :D

Wish I had, actually... would make an interesting conversation statement.

Oh yeah! Sometimes I make a point of going up to girls in specs, perhaps even asking them out over an unspec-ed girl. They look so hot! For some reason, they seem to get ignored by guys, so more for me to choose from...he he he.

I got glasses in 2nd year uni (1996), and spent the first day looking at trees in the distance....*Homer voice* Tree has leaves, tree is green blur, tree has leaves, tree is green blur :D:D

I never really liked my glasses. I have bright blue eyes, and always felt that the glasses stopped me being able to show them off. (Oh so vain!) About 18 months ago I moved to 30 day extended wear contacts...and I love it. Put em in, and forget about em. I can play all my sports and see everything that is going on. I can wear sunnies again, I can go out in the rain, and I can show off my eyes. I will never go back to specs. If I could afford laser *does finger quoties* surgery, I would do it in an instant.

Still, having 'bad' eyes and having been self conscious to the max about my glasses, in matters of the heart, I go out of my way to pay attention to women who wear the specs (as opposed to some who ignore), and now I find that I have a taste for them, so to speak :D:D

Cheers, and good luck William,

Kasey
