Seriously, we've given away so many bad frees. However, the amount of frees that the umps have paid to Glenelg, when the equal frees have been there but not paid to us is just laughable.

There was a ruck contest in this 4th in the middle, they paid a push against Ladhams, when he was just jumped into early by the opposition. It was very soft and technical. Next ruck contest, Ladhams is basically tackled down yet nothing, absolutely nothing. Next ruck contest, Ladhams works his man under it and beep, in the back against us.

It's seriously ridiculous what we have to deal with. Honestly we absolutely have been our own worst enemies, our ball use going forward has been horrendous, our skills and handball chains around clearances have been deserving of Benny Hill music at times, and so many of our top up players are just costing us at key moments all the time. However these umpires hurt us significantly, regularly.

Good:
- SPP
- SPP
- SPP
- Schofield
- Hayes ruck work
- I thought Williams did some things, still a long way off, long, long way.
- Edwards

Ugly:
- Ladhams
- Our game style and ball movement, just bomb it down the line all night.
- Tall defenders had a stinker, particularly Corcoran.
- Burgoyne injury
- Unpressured handball errors.

******* hell Rockliff not playing half the game to be a 24th man may have cost us here
Absolute BS by the club if that is the reason. Mayes could have played and who knows? Good effort though given only 11 AFL listed, down to 9 by half time and probably 4 or 5 of the top ups are not SANFL standard. They should continue to improve.

That’s what the SANFL want us to do, anyway.
Nah they want to keep up the charade that they are beating us on a level playing field.

They will give us a warning soon to "play the line" as they have done previously despite their rules tying our hands behind our backs.

SANFL free kick counter

2. Port 20. Oppo 28
3. Port 16. Oppo 25
4. Port 29. Oppo 30

Total. Port 83. Oppo 114

A more even count didn't account for the frees in the 2nd half when it counted and the s**t they were allowed to get away with.

Odds of losing the free count 4 weeks in a row by pure chance....

A good effort given our injuries and top up players. Really missing class up forward.
Yeah not overly fussed considering the injuries and changes to the side. Seems like some good form for spp. Just need to get Ladhams back into some form, completely lost all confidence. Lord out as well at last moment doesnt help.

well he can fix the workrate and intensity but maybe he just doesn't have it in him to commit 100%
Williams has missed so much football, he didnt play at all in his u18 year, then covid disruptions, so he is coming from a long way back. He needs a stack of work on his body, like a young R Gray once needed, but dont worry the kid has some real talent.

Been like that since 2014 for both AFL sides, that is a statistical fact.
I went to a game at Alberton against South Adelaide 2016 I think, free kick count was 0-13 at one stage.
That was the nail in the coffin for me.
