Thanks. It'll be interesting to see when it's completed.

My plan is to go to the cricket, so hopefully will get the opportunity to have bit of a look at the progress - going too the women's matches was good to see how it was going, and could tell the structure was going well but not necessarily a lot of the public areas looking close to ready

I'm curious if that's changed

We'll have to catch up again. I'm planning on going to a couple although I'm a sixers fan. Hopefully we're playing there.

From the looks of those pics, I believe the technical term is "there is still shit loads to do"

But no rush now, just need to be ready for round 1 which is obviously will be

Looks like majority of seats are in and that it's where they're yet to put the roof piece and have the added scaffolding that there's no seats

The concourse def looks a lot further along than my last visit

I wouldn't be surprised if it was ready in January if they had a need to open it - but most likely to take a bit of time and get it right for the pre-season with any practice games we have

Looks like they did a great job with the wicket as well!

It was a good batting track back when I played there.

Opposition fans will have a field day with this - cheat ground for cricket as well. ;)

It was being called before the game started, and just deteriorated into a farce.

Check out the BBL thread for the match - apparently we've never hosted cricket before, have no idea and should Thebe l never be given a game again

Yeah I recon they just forced through 6 overs so they could get away with not refunding any tickets.

Except that it's already been confirmed by both CA and the Renegades that all general public ticket purchases will be refunded, and I'm guessing the Renegades are discussing options for members who attended

The sideshow the umpires, match referee and CA put on was beyond a joke .......it was a cynical pretense.

They acted as if the decision was line ball, when it was obvious that there was no way the game should've even started, let alone continue.

The reaction by De Kock - a respected international cricketer - said it all.

Good to hear.

Hopefully they also publicly apologise for their incompetence in allowing the game to even start.
