Even though Max Power as an Essendon fan would rather played the Roos next week, it's good to see the Dees get up. Good for the game and good to see some fresh blood in the GF. Gives other teams fans a little hope.

Will Joe convert so he can go to the game next weekend?

I'd like to add my congrats to the Demons. A very complete performance and one that could make for a more interesting GF than previously thought. I'm personally pleased that our season has ended as I was totally sick of it! Too many things happened, from the sublime to the ridiculous to the sad to the near tragic and back to the ridiculous again! Let's hope for a good GF and my tip-Essendon (now that's original!!)

Yeah, well done to the dees, they thoroughly deserve to be there. They do have a chance to give it a shake next week I think, or at least make it an interesting game. Good luck to them in the big one.

Yes, congrats to the dees on a very fine performance. On a personal opinion I reckon they will go all the way and blow Essendon (which i am guessing will be there)away. Either way I think it will be a very good hard contest on Saturday week. But i would like to see the Dees win, they have worked very hard to be where they are right now and deserve success!!!

Congratulations to the Dees. 12 Quarters of footy against the Rooboys this year and you outplayed us in 10 of them. Best of luck against Essendon. The two Grand Finalists are both worthy sides. The sentimentalist in me would love to see a Melbourne win, but after Essendon's heartache of last year and the fact that this year, they have been the *greatest* combination of footballers that I've ever seen, I'd like to see them get their Premiership medals. Even if that means we have to put up with Dan24's gloating over summer.

To Craig Sholl, thanks for the many years of service to our club. I will miss yelling out, "Onya Doctor!!!!!" after all your goals!

To Denis Pagan, Wayne Carey, and the whole list (um, yeah...that includes you too David Calthorpe), thanks for all your efforts this season. It's been a hard season for us, but I'm proud of you and it was a great effort to finish fourth.

To Ron Casey, our thoughts were with you when the final siren rang on Friday night. Thanks again for everything.

To all the North fans out there, keep the faith for 2001.

Last, and most certainly least, to the Collingwood and Richmond footy clubs....nyah! nyah! nyah! nyah! We finished above you AGAIN suckers!

Cmon Dees kick some butt. Wouldnt that be lovely Essendon dominate all year and then lose the big one, it would certainly make me happy. To all you Kanga supporters i hate the Roos but for some reason jus lately ive been pitying them and i was almost going for tem against the Dees!!! Weird huh maybe its a sign that North are gonna be like the saints next year. A team we pity.

I'm staggered ! I just heard something at the club last night that I just couldn't credit, so I've told the chaps that I'll try and get some young people I know to confirm this.

JJeremy and PPercy have just organised our club's table at the MCC for Saturday. As usual, we are up the front , next to the Presidents. Apparently that bounder Elliot WON'T be there this year - thank god he's such an embarassment ( he does that thing with his trousers that boys stopped doing a long time ago ).

We've got all the chaps from our dorm at Grammar in '56 to come along and we've even persuaded old Roxby the matron to attend.

But imaging my surprise when PPercy said that the Melbourne President, who apparently is a very successful mining magnate, might have some difficulty attending.

Is it pressing business, I asked, as I know young Costello will be there. PPercy then told me about the President and his background. Well ! I was flabbergasted ! Could it be true ?

Apparently he did NOT attend a Public School !
