Just putting it out there for discussion....Do you think Carlton should follow Geelong and have a go it alone Reserve team/ VFL team. That way there would be no 12/10 rule and we could keep an eye on all players for development. I know the cost factor is going to come into play, but for the future of the club I really think the board should look at it.Use some of the money the AFL are giving us.

Ideally, yes all Melbourne based clubs would love to go it alone, but in reality money talks.................and we aint got any.

Correct WTTF, i'm pretty sure I heard a few years back that the club saves about $200,000 annually by affiliating with a VFL team.

Geelong's performance this year has not really been a good argument for a stand-alone team

From what i understand, the Eagles and Freo players who are not in the seniors are spread among a number of WAFL clubs, and it does not seem to have hurt them

but it would be a good way to play all of our players to get an indepth view of all our players
