Shit umpiring though for both sides, except for the last holding decision against Matera which was an extremely good decision.

How about that one that the goal umpire call touched when Wirrpunda knocked the ball into play? Where's the logic? It was either a goal or it should have been play on. Personally, I think it should have been play on. The field ump should have corrected him and bounced it on the kickoff line.

Re the Matera decision: if we're talking about the same one_ the way I saw it, the holding decision was against another WCE w***er and then Matera got 50 for complaining and not handing over the ball> Whatever, we beat the whole lot of them> GO PIES

That goal umpire should never umpire again. If he can't do it in a practice series then how will he be when premiership points are up for grabs. Another typical WA dud.

I think the problem was that the goal umpire made the decision too quickly on what he tought was going to happen. I think as soon as he made the decision, he knew he was wrong because of the look on his face. He could have saved face by admitting he was wrong and the field ump could have bounced the ball instead.
