We still missed some very easy goals today but overall a MUCH MUCH better showing by the boys. Our defensive pressure was so much better all over the field but especially in the forward line.

The difference in goal-kicking between last week and this week was that alot of the misses where running-shots or snap shots at goal and not set shots from 20 metres out.

Having said that, it is an area the club still needs to look at, but I know the team can improve on this and overcome the kicking yips.

Not sure that you're right here. We missed 4 set shots from between 25 and 40 metres in the first half alone.

Even the Vic-centric commentary team acknowledged that the game would have been over at half time if we had kicked straight.

One thing that really peed me off after the game was the commentary team finding all the reasons why the Bulldogs played so poorly, rather than concentrating on how well Adelaide played and didn't allow the Bullies to play well. :thumbsd:

Still it was better than last week.

Having said that, it is still an issue that needs addressing.

Im certain of one thing; Perrie must play on and kick for goal whenever he can.
I like it. :thumbsu: The exact opposite of the 'Richo Rule' where he isn't allowed to play on if he has taken a mark in the forward fifty.

I was close to putting my refreshment receptical through the screen yesterday as we started to miss shots...........

Looks like we started to turn things around by the end of the day.

Hopefully NC can highlight the fact that when under pressure, our kicking is pretty good both interms of field kicking and shots for goal.........but when we have time to think..........it's shizen.....:(
