Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
We won that Rieniets game over the Roos 133-103. I used to keep most winning games on tape so there is a chance I have a rather worn copy of it stored away. Surely some others would have it too? I will check in the coming days.
Matty Kreuzer's first kick in the NAB cup game against Port got me thinking - can anyone go one further and name players who kicked a goal with their first kick in VFL/AFL footy using their non-dominant foot ?

Not as yet. I have a pile of stuff stored away and have been avoiding creating a massive mess by delving into it. I will set a reminder for myself and try to look tomorrow. Between flash flooding under the house and deteriorating tape, I am not sure. Mind you, it would have had to have been a free to air game as well. That is a massive 'if'.Don't mean to push you but did you get anywhere on this? Would love to be able to round off this issue (the reminder keeps popping up on my computer).
Even better, does anyone know Rieniets or where he is? it may be worthwhile tracking him down to talk about the game.

Oh heck what a question. I remember Allan's first goal being a kick on his left, set shot, at Princes Park from about 15 metres out.
Gibbsy's goal was on his right.
I cant remember anyone elses.
This looks like a promising list - we had forgotten about Gilmore, but in an interview with him some time ago even he couldn't remember whether his second kick was a goal:

Ditchburn eh?
Cheated through a few bibles and found.
Vin Waite 1966
Robert Walls 1967
Daryl Gilmore 1980
Steven Kernahan 1986
Brett Ratten 1990
Tim Reinets 1990
Matthew Allan 1994
Simon Beaumont 1995
Jacob Anstey 1997
Bryce Gibbs 2007
Think Ditchburn may have against Footscray in 1982 from memory.
The interesting one on this list for me is Vin Waite, because I can only remember him as a hard tough defender --- loved the way he went about the game and he was one of my favourite players.
From memory (failing a bit !!) his nickname was 'The Destroyer'
His one great downfall being not getting Balme in the 73 GF after he assassinated Southby.
