Level 8 and 16 are the usual renegotiate as it is when you can purchase equipment. So a fair bit of dough is about to be done at the Battlers as everyone is approaching level 16 where word is it is $12500 for each bit.

Manureid....

When Thorvaldsson comes on board, there's room for either Joan Collins or Cole Reid to be retired and refunded. That's either you or me. Or, we COULD hold onto the extra one, but I see no reason. Battlers are good at OT too.

So who's it gonna be? I'd be happy to to reduce my player list and get some coin back. If you're happy still funding Cole?

Yeh, I am not fussed either gg, if you are looking to reduce your 'squad' then i am happy to keep Cole Reid, but likewise am happy to retire him if not required.

Are you certain we don't need 5 OT's??

You could trade one of them for cash for the MILs. Cash is good for stadium construction funds. I'm sure the Alcoholics http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=621 would be looking for a replacement for Lars. You would be guaranteed to get plenty of snaps, that's for sure!

Would be strange having a player on another team. What is a level 7 OT bringing in? Is it worth it?

Sven, maybe see what offers you can get for either?

The other option is to advertise one on the forum, get the best cash offer going, that would be sure to BUMP the price up.

Re: Cool Sim Site

But screw playing for another team. Collins and many others were only created to help get the MILs up. Till the squad could flesh out more, bring in more people. Like I have 25 players. So I'd be interested in streaming down some of these players I own in exchange for someone else's superior player. If Southern had a level 12 Guard somewhere, for instance, I'd be happy to retire Phil Donahue (lvl 7) then.

Re: Cool Sim Site

Although if I could get a couple of hundred grand for a player i will not bother levelling up or spending flex on, then it will be good for the MIL's as far as end of season stadium construction, and being able to cover wages in that period.

That is if we don't want him.

I've put it on all can view, but I just dont feel right. Even the thought of trading her. Let people make offers but dont accept anything at all. Let me think about it some more. I could use her exclusively on STs and 3rd string at both RT and LT.

Re: Cool Sim Site

gg,
I'm looking forward to the next game for the Battlers against Kentucky and am thinking that the DL should change there Defensive Focus to Pass rather than Run due to the likelihood that Kentucky will go to the air against us. It may result in more deflected passes or something like that.

- any thoughts?

Im not looking that far ahead lol. One game at a time. I like to focus and funnell all my energy on the 'now' and ensure we win there first. Then come tomorrow, it'll be all about the battlers.

However, just from what I've gathered, they're the #2 pass offense in the league or similar. So judging by that, I'd say they'll throw, so we need to ensure our DL wont be fooled by pass.

However, before we go ahead with this plan, we need to analyze their rush attack. They might have a really good rushing team as well. In which case we'd want our DL to have no focus, just balanced.

Their QB is Joe "Cool" Montana. He figures prominently in the league passing stat leaders page. That includes interceptions. If we can play him well, there are turn over opportunities.

The real issue for me is... how do we take a passing offense, which admittedly has been consistent now for a few weeks, not turning the ball over, but still not scoring a hell of alot, and use it to put up enough points to beat them. When i look at their team, im convinced we have to beat them in the air...

One initial thought...

If our game afterwards is softer... play Manning the whole game. He'll get some mismatches at time when the defense subs. Ive noticed alot of the successful teams have only one QB. If you watch the replays, it does seem that when Sonny is on the team, so is the back up defense....

Re: Cool Sim Site

Please welcome, after 40 days in the wilderness, and three teams with heartless owners, the MILs #1 threat (straight to the top of the charts)
Lars Thorvaldsson http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=66274

Yet another player from the Trondheim Sports Academy, Lars joins fellow alumni Asmund Thórdar, Gabriel Gudbrand and Egil Skallagrímsson at the MILs.

"It's like coming home to the fjords!" Lars was heard to have said after his signing...

gg, I'll need an avatar.

BTW - Lars is #3 on the depth chart for tonights game for a reason. He'll be starting at LT for the game against the Aggressors

Actually, I've just reconsidered my initial idea. If he's on 87 energy, and we're 80/90 subbing at the position, he'll finish the game about 80, and with two trainings till the next game will be back to 100 energy.

So we'll just start him, RT, and he'll get benched often enough to remain 80-ish post-game. Why let a Level 14 go to waste.

I'll get him an avatar etc as soon as I can....bit overwhelmed with a full plate at the moment.
