Re: Cool Sim Site

Imo a fully healthy regen'd to 100 level 4 OT with 20 stamina points is better than a 50-80 energy level 7 OT with 25 stamina points.
That's assuming a level 4 OT has a stamina of 20. Stamina is a minor attribute for OTs and they have 5 major attributes to look after as well. Although stamina is important, you've got to concentrate on your majors. I'm training stamina, and will probably boost stamina with a custom item, but getting it to 20, on day 1 of the player's creation, is a tough ask.

Re: Cool Sim Site

Sorry, just to explain myself better...

Sub settings are 50% out and 90% in, right?
Crusher is on 60 energy by the time a game starts with say 25 stamina skill points.

What you see is that Crusher plays 50 plays equal with the other OTs. So how was he being sub'd back in at 90 if his energy was so low to begin with? He couldnt. No one's energy increases during a game.

So, imo, energy is just energy, it ALWAYS goes down thru playing a game. But stamina skill point is what goes up and down during a game. Why we see a guy getting sub'd out, then back in, then out, then in. So the stamina of that player must fall to 50% of 25 skill points, then rejuvenates to 90% when he is allowed back in.

But at all times, his energy level is draining from 100 to 70 or 60 or 50 depending on how much game time he played.

Last time Crusher started he started at 70 energy level, and the other team was getting by him constantly at RT. He played the whole game, subbing in and out. When the game was over he was on 59 energy level.

Then, in the two days that followed, his energy still hadn't climbed high enough for my liking to start him. It was on like 70. So I left him off the team and gave him time to regen, and he's still only about 76 today, maybe reaches 85 or 90 by game time. Depending how high it gets, we will decide if we use him or not. But if it's anything below 90 energy, he'd be better off as a back-up to Asmund/Henway who are both level 4 and 100 energy levels.

Re: Cool Sim Site

For OT, stamina is a bigger thing than for G. When creating MacArthur I invested a bit more into stamina than I did for Patton. I think McArthur with just one 3 level boost is on 20 stamina level or near abouts. In custom equipment and standard equipment, plus skill point allocations, I focused on strength, blocking, stamina, agility, vision.

Maybe I should have allocated points to stamina that I allocated to confidence instead. Oh well, hopefully I'll make it up with my Custom Item.

I thought our O-line last game were great. So perhaps leave it as is, with either Henlow (btw its Henlow not Henway. Big difference since my name is an anagram of a great past player :D) or Asmund both ahead of Crusher.

If we are planning on passing more often this time it'll be crucial to have the best possible O-line out there. I'll leave it up to the coaches to decide what that is.

Re: Cool Sim Site

Interesting info.

At level 8 you can "upgrade" your equipment to +2 instead of +1.

It costs $2500/piece of equipment or $10000 for the whole 4 piece upgrade.
This was in a thread discussing what to do with your money. It looks like you need 10k to be able to get a full equipment upgrade.

I know from my players that being on a minimum contract with no signing bonus has left them with no cash to do this (training sucks it up). We are going to need to factor this in when renegoitating contracts. If we want to give our players the full Skilling up potential.

Another reason to 'cash up' the team. :thumbsu:

Re: Cool Sim Site

Ok fellas I here ready with my flex points. I've been PM'd to make both a Guard(gg) and an OT(manureid).

If you guys could decide which position is the greatest need I'll create him straight away then get all the skill points and we'll create hopefully a good contributor to the team..

Go Tackle. Then boost that f_cker after we sign you, not before!

I'm still looking to get that Lush guy on our team, he PM'd me back, and I PM'd him to speak to Bort about getting him on our team.

We will end up needing 1-3 Tackles imo.

I've finally finished creating Asmund Thórdar. Asmund was born in Ørland, which is a town on the Trondheimsfjord in northern Norway.

His attributes are as follows:

Physical Attributes Strength: 21.2 Speed: 9 Agility: 20.2 Jumping: 8 Stamina: 19.5 Vision: 21.2 Confidence: 22.2

Football Skills Blocking: 20.2 Tackling: 11.5 Throwing: 10 Catching: 7 Carrying: 8 Kicking: 8 Punting: 8

with Pass Block (1) and Run Block (1) his only special attributes.

Hopefully he'll help to keep things under control on the OL tonight.

Re: Cool Sim Site

Aarakan, for OT, do the following things....

With your skill points there is one lot on the left and a specials on the right.
Add 1 point to the Pass Block and 1 point to the run block on the right, or 2 each.
Focus on the left tho....the major skills you should focus on are: strength, blocking, agility, vision, stamina, confidence. Try to give more to strength and blocking, but spread them out to those others.

Then create equipment. Each one allows you to add another skill point to something. Again, choose strength, blocking mainly. Then do custom, and here you have 6 more points to allocate. Again spread them out like that, most to strength, blocking, but the others mentioned. All up with the equipment thing, you're trying to ensure all those attributes of strength, blocking, agility, vision, stamina and confidence are being addressed.

Then click equip on all of them. Then go to advanced tactics and select Power runner, pass-block, and wrap tackler. Then make your training relaxed, concentrating on say vision or stamina. Make your player play Intense. And choose profile to allow ONLY TEAM MEMBERS to view.

Then boost by buying 1,000 points thru paypal. Select all three levels boost and you'll have another 15 points to allocate. Again do all those things.

Remember do all this after we sign you.

Also, i think Tackling skill might be worth skilling up.

OT needs are: strength, blocking, confidence (mainly) and then close behind vision, agility, stamina, and tackling maybe too.

Vision or stamina would be a good one to choose for your relaxed training.
