cats2rise has called a press conference to announce the team he is going to.

Currently at work and need to work on my speech... Will be announcing tonight. Watch this space.

In the meantime, lets play a game. I Spy with my little 'eye', something beginning with 'O'...

I won't be there for the conference. Going out tonight but I AM Working on a story for the Baghdad boys though; work in progress. Expect it to be broken this weekend sometime. Hope to be able to write you in, mate.

“Loyalty is one trait missing in the world these days whether it be in friendship, the business world or in sports. Batman has Robin, Rudd has Gillard, each man has his best friend by his side in the ute.

The Prairie Vole has one partner for life – now that’s loyalty. It’s a shame to see we don’t see this in sport very often. Fans pay memberships, get merchandise and expect to see their favourite players join, grow up and lead their club to success. Kerr used to have Judd and Cousins – now he has no one. Sports stars in Europe move countries for an extra $15,000 a week and there is no player to team, or player to fan loyalty.

This needs to change. I have a loyalty to the Gumbies – I used to play for them. They gave me my first start and taught me all I know. Ninty, Peterss.... thats a great leadership due right there. But I have a past life with Amos, Sausage Roll and all the TF’ians. Who do I decide to be loyal to, and spend my final years as a football player with?

It was a tough decision... That’s why I am going to go to the Demons.

Bring it on.”

That was a fantastic read. Almost brought a tear to my eye. Easily the most disappointed I've ever felt in my fantasy career though.

When Sausage Roll asked me to come back a while ago, I knocked it back. A while later, with the season finished, he approached again but this time reminded me of the good times; the camping trip, Jamma's nudy run, the end of season trip to Asia that saw half of the Dragons arrested or deported, the ShePanda raping, the list is endless. There's nothing better than joining Jars, Tigga and the new guys i've met here, it's as close as I'll ever get to the good old TFFSL days :-(.

Pity you won't be with me mate. Big pity.

Isnt there a saying 'If you cant join em, beat the crap outta them?'
Difference is that you can join us, mate, so beating the crap out of the others should be left to you, me, Jars, and if need be, the odd story about a posse of Shanghainese black market bamboo importers.

This is your second coming. A legitimate one. We want you to join us, well I certainly do and Jars seems keen. Get around us and rather than chance the possibility of fading into oblivion because you get bored and no one is taking your leads (banter wise), play with us and stay active and get amongst it; if you don't, you'll cop a barrage of pms from me, and if I go inactive, I'm expecting the same from Jars.

It's your call though mate and I'll give you my fair share we I play against you (what is it? once every 5? 6? weeks) but I'm still shattered. Our possibilities would have been endless.

Yep. Gutted :(
But I respect your decision c2r.

Gotta say I was really looking forward to the possibility of you joining us. I've really enjoyed all the talk at the Bombers. The threads been booming and amos has stepped straight back into his usual classy posting. Would have been great if you'd gotten involved.

Good luck at the Demons mate. If you're feeling lonely anytime feel free to come over to the Baghdad clubrooms for a few beers :thumbsu:

We'll I am allready trying to poach players so I'll be there a fair bit...
At any other team you might have had an outside chance. But not at the Demons. And that's not just speaking on behalf of the Bombers. You'll find it's the same for every other team too.

You'll have to look outside the SFA for recruits.

Fair enough, mate. An opposition Panda is better than none at all. Would love to play with you one day, but unless Jars swings by Asia and has a crack at my missus while I'm not home, drinks my beer, steals my notebook and leaves a floater in my on-suite, I'll be by his side. Swing by the social club for a couple of frothies still, your shout, I'm being paid a pittance.

The club has seen some off-field changes much like Geelong of 2006.

You will be suprised.
