Obviously an outsider, but I reckon Goddard is a fantastic leader of a good side. Drives home absolute professionalism, expects the best, applies the same standards to himself.

Of a young side, I'm not so sure how he would go. The best captains and coaches are the best teachers, not the ones who yell the most.

I'd think Goddard will captain though as I assume he's highest ranked available player. Zaharakis isn't even in the leadership group surely

Didn't chapman come out and say that Goddard was good at telling other players what to do but was not so flash when it was his turn to be told.

At one level, Goddard is like Buckley...he polarises opinions and people. I think that is because they both have very high standards and hold others to those standards.

For me, Goddard is not the best choice for Bombers captain. This is going to be a youngish team with not a lot to play for in 2016. I think Bombers would be better off going with a captain that was more about support than driving hard for a flag.
