I agree - i remember the Seecamp, Ingerson and Shanahan show, last of the good defenders in Melbourne.

To be honest I prefer '98 as a season to anything that has followed.

I agree that Shanahan was a good stopper, but his disposal skills and playmaking ability were not his greatest asset

Yer i remember going to the last round when we slaughtered Richmond and Darren Kowal got knocked out,then going the next week and seeing a Farmer and Lyon show against the crows.

The year tingay and lyon finally played more than 1 or 2 games. We were better than adelaide that year and still couldn't win the ****in flag

Seriously guys i think alot of people jump on the bandwagon and bag godders kicking skills, but if you really are watching our team he aint that bad. He aint no TJ but hes certainly nowhere near the worst kick in the competition (Dutchy/Presti/Hay). Great attitude. Fit. Hes' in my best 22 on terms of pure performance not "potential".
