Godfrey or Funcke?

It seems like only one will get a game at any one time. Who do you think is a better player?

I remember Godfrey's wonderful tagging job on Nathan Brown last year against the Bulldogs, although perhaps Ross Funcke is a better gatherer of possessions than Godfrey while still having the ability to tag.

I have no doubt one of the two will be delisted at the end of the year - which one would you choose to stay?

Hmmm.......That is a tough one! Good topic Footyman!

If I had to get rid of one, I'd probably get rid of Godfrey. While he can do a tagging job, he has never really done alot in the seniors. Funcke has experience, did a great job on Rohan Smith earlier this year and did okay on Farmer over in Freo. So, I'd delist Godfrey.

But, If we could, I would delist Luke Williams before either of these two! I hate Luke Williams!

i think i'd go with funcke, and get rid of luke williams and godders aswell.

hrm... if i had the coice and had to - id play funcke.

i must say, i don't see either of them as good players, but if 1 of them HAD to play then it'd be funcke.

as to williams... the only thing i remember of him is his tackel against... can't think of who, in last yr's win against the blues. apart from that he's done nothing. i agree with you both and reckon he should be dropped!

I think Funcke would be better value at the moment, but if we were forced to keep only one at the end of the year I think itd be Godfrey. Both are average-ish players, but Funcke being younger maybe has a bit more potential for improvement.
