the idea of this reminds me of your parents forwarding you all the jokes you've already read before - youtube reaction videos have long been around and possibly peaked around the time of 2 girls, 1 cup - however on the small screen it firmly plants it in the middle-aged audience who perhaps aren't as familiar with the concept of watching other people watch things, while it still might be able to elicit views from people who have fond memories of watching nuttymadam watch twilight trailers and garbage like that.

this stuff just seems so done-before. i never liked reaction videos either mind you. this is just presenting 'reaction videos' to a new and different market.

So did anyone watch it on Foxtel tonight ?
I missed it and will miss it again when it's on Ten tomorrow night and any other nights it's on ;)
Watching it, very ordinary. None of the families say anything interesting or unexpected. Concept could be alright if the families were more politically incorrect and stirred up a bit of controversy.

The English version of this is very good, but even that got off to a slow start. If cast properly, and the people are given enough to time to settle into it, it is a good format. Not sure it'll necessarily work here, though, because English people are 1) obsessed with television in a way we aren't here. 2) generally funnier than Australians.

Some of these people are quite funny but most are cringe worthy at best.

The British are the comedy champions of the world, even the ones I know that aren't in show biz, they are funny people.

nah one of the two mates.

Seriously though, those two are my favourites on the show. ****ing hilarious.

I'm hoping that next week they have to watch this weeks gogglebox episode, so we see their reactions to the TV show on the TV show itself... Pretty poor show though, need more homes with cameras because the way it currently is, is that they know with only 6 homes (or whatever it is) with cameras it means that they are basically guaranteed to be shown and they would naturally act differently because of this. Shark Tank seems alright though, Ten may have gotten something right.

Disagree with that. While the whole show wasn't a complete disaster or anything, ads, as usual ruined it imo. The British version on Foxtel you don't get an ad for at least the first 20 minutes of the show. The first pitch is done in great detail, lots of banter, etc so forth. And no ads. On this version of course ads break up the pitch, was just crap imo. I love Dragons Den but probably won't bother with this Aussie version.

Ten did the same with Graham Norton. Used to love that show on the ABC.

Yeah true, but you would be mad if you thought an Australian FTA channel wouldn't show a ludicrous amount of ads. Truth be told, I only knew about it because of watching BBL and only watched it because there was nothing else on. Plus I haven't seen the other versions so can't compare.

Fair enough. Try and see some Dragon. It's good. And having said that I hardly ever watch an entire episode of it. It's like 4 mini episodes in one- with each of the major pitches uninterrupted without any ads. :thumbsu:

And the next week hopefully gogglebox episode, we see their reactions of their reactions on googlebox.
Then the week after we see their reactions of their reactions of their reactions.
And then the process continues :)
