So Dean Wallis has retired. Can't really go out much higher, can you? (Will Sheedy follow him?)

But it was reported here that he has retired to "avoid tribunal concerns" after Saturdays game.

Is that fair?

BTW/ Glad he made up for last year...

um, they have 2 sides walshy1993.
see www.footballvic.com for all you need to know about the vfl. The VFL is the old VFA mixed in with the old AFL Reserves, if you hadn't caught up. It has been in existence for only the one season (2000). It would be an ideal role for Wallis. He would still be around the club - albeit in a reduced capacity and therefore a reduced salary - but still contributing.

Apparently he 'hinted' to the fans at the reception in the city square today that he would retire, so thats why it was on the news.

Sheedy said about 4 weeks ago that Wallis was in his last season. He also said Wallis would play in the VFL next year.
Wallis must be still mowing Sheedys lawns !!!!
Wallis will still be reported even though he's retired.

Hey TF2000 - how many "million-dollar dot com company"s are there that run Aussie Rules web sites? Freekick is the only one I can think of - and they went bust after spending over $280,000 to get FEWER members than AFLTips.Com, who spend about $0 and rely on word-of-mouth and alliances with other independant sites.
