Our Draw is pretty soft we got amongst the easiest teams possible twice:
1-6: given Hawks offseason they would be arguably the easiest top 6 team from last year
7-12: Port - expected to be a fringe 8 team and North expected to go backwards
13-18: Probably the 2 worst teams in this group being Carlton and Brisbane

Pretty good draw TBH.

- Only 2 6 day breaks and both appear pretty manageable.
- We play Brisbane, Carlton, Port, North and Hawks twice
- The travel doesn't look too bad. 1 game in Perth, Adelaide and China, 4 games in Melbourne and the rest in QLD, NSW, or NT.
- Our run home looks pretty good besides the Doggies.

- 5 Saturday night games at Metricon and 4 twilight games (and 1 afternoon game)?? Did we not ask for more twilight spots?
- Hawks round 3 is a Sunday twilight game at Metricon?! ugh.

its a great draw for us, some cracking rivalries to be played out at Metricon with Lions (Hanley), Richmond (Prestia and Caddy), Hawks (JOM), Geelong (GAZ and SMITH), Crows (Lyons), North (Swallow rumours), Carlton (Orange rhymes with Gorange)Essendon just cause they are cheats - very pumped - so glad we don't have Port, GWS or Freo at home because they draw crap crowds and piss poor atmosphere -Collingwood always brings some great buzz too

Yeah, pretty fair draw for us. GWS done with by RND 2 suits. May only be a 10 goal belting. Crows at home AGAIN - over by rd 5, so I'll be glad to see the back of that game....Suns v Omaggot Rnd 3 will be interesting...predict overwhelming negative reaction every time he gets near it. Love that we have TIGES, PIES, BLUES and ESS at home - massive crowd drawing clubs and if we are up and about at the pointy end, the atmosphere will be even better.
Absolutely pissed with the China home game - it removes a game I can view live. I like the opportunity to watch 11 homes games at Metricon plus a short trip up the road to slot in a Gabba match means 12 out of 22 witnessed live. I know it's only one less, but hell, is my season membership payment going to REDUCE??? It better!!

Our highest attended match is against Adelaide at Adelaide Oval so i'm not sure why that hasn't been done more.

Hmmm...looking a bit closer....play 5 of the 2016 finalists in the first 8 games before the bye....could we pinch one or two of those, win the others and be 4-4 or 3-5???

Pretty happy with the home games. If we can get on a roll and push for finals we'll have some big crowds in the second half of the season.

We seem to have a lot more Saturday night games this year, wondering if that will affect families? I don't mind the night games, but travelling down from Brisbane each fortnight I definitely prefer the twilight games

Any idea when the fixture for NAB challenge is released?

Hi guys.

Just after some info about the pre-season games.

I'm looking to be at the Suns/Doggies on the 9th March...what are the transport options?

Are the pre-season games considered "Event Days"? (And so no private car parking?)

Do busses still run from Pacific Fair and/or the Casino?

Thanks. (Hoping for some early info as it might affect our location of stay with a <1 yo.)

Cheers.

i can't remember how it went in previous preseason games, if there were specific buses running.
i would assume it's an event day. there is parking across the road at emerald lakes for $20.

other than that, i'm not too sure on other transport options. it is a little bit early for that type of information to be on the suns/metricon stadium websites. GCFC Digital can you provide any more info on this?
