Roast Gold Coast Suns potentially rorting the soft cap!

I have no idea what this role entails. I kind of understand commercial strategy although I would have no idea what she would do each day (I could say that about any number of corporate jobs).

But consumer strategy? Is that referring to members or the match day punter? Does that mean she is responsible for picking the music after a song or what kind oof condiments go on the hot dog.

It's all about fan engagement and retention. She probably goes around to each fans house through out the week to chat and compile a play list & condiment preference. Not sure what she does on Thursday or Friday though.

UnitedWarrior93 DBAH0 Tall poppy alive and well. Suns rorting the soft cap and nothing said about it on the Football Association board.

We need an investigation into chef RossFC leadership to find the bodies. Clearly they're eliminating those who speak out against other clubs.

Looks like this one turned out to be a storm in a tea cup. The AFL has given her employment at the Suns the tick of approval and the report found she's being paid "market rates". Seems like it was really just Damian Barrett's (poor) attempt to must up more outrage towards the northern clubs on the eve of Opening Round. I highly doubt he's going to acknowledge that the Suns had nothing to answer for and that it was a nothing story in the end. Such is the standard of professional journalism these days.

She has experience in commercial operations for AFL clubs, and lives on the Gold Coast; whats wrong with working for the Suns?

GWS hired Scully's Dad who had experience in the industry and it ended up being included in the player salary cap.

But that was years ago. These days the AFL really doesnt care because they dont want to know.

mods The_Wookie shouldn't this thread be locked or have its titled changed? The AFL already gave the green light for her employment and said the Suns had nothing to answer for (see below). Keeping this thread going in its current form just increases the chances of misinformation spreading.
