I don't know if it has been discussed yet, but i just realised that the new GC franchise will have a massive effect on DT.

to start with, a team each week will have a bye, whilst the leagues will have to be re-formated etc.

But the bye will have the biggest effect with one team not playing each week, what do you think will happen?

Is it the end of DT haha...

I was thinking about the impact it will have on rookies, surely it will be much easier to select quality rookies that will actually play, due to the GC team being comprised of alot of them.

They will be using a very large % of their top picks to trade for current players. I don't think the other clubs would have agreed to these conditions otherwise, actually it wouldn't surprise me if there is some written agreement that they MUST hand over x amount of picks.

But this subject has been done to death, try searching.

Ssssshhhhh - i thought of this too.

I think this is why VS tried increasing prices of high draftees this year. Expect the same for 2009 - they were probably testing it out, seeing what it did to MN and price movements.
