Can anyone believe the luck Sleek Chasis has had since going to Sydney?, the barrier (as Hayes said) has killed it, anything wider than 12 is going to have to a do a mountain of work.

Im gonna get on Meaurice, perfect draw, should get a sit on them and give me some value for money. Murtajill and Sleek Chasis are going to be eye balling heading into the straight you would think, will be interesting to see who out muscles who.

Expect both of those to be running on late and smashing the line, however Meaurice may just have them covered, based purely on the fact he has got barrier 5 and should be put to sleep for the majority of the race.

So how are all you Murtajill backers feeling now?
Hope you didn’t dive into the 4.40.

Theres an old saying the worse the barrier the better the price. I'm am still backing Murtajill as i feel he is the superior 2 year old. The barrier no doubt makes his task harder but I feel he's good enough to still win. Hopefully we might get $7-8. Beadman is riding Shaft which is surprising. Thought he may ride Forensics which has Oliver aboard.

Queen of the turf might be a better betting race, fixed odds market just opened on TAB Sportsbet - I like Divine Madonna $6.00, Anamato $7.50 and Absolutelyfabulous $17

Apparently Sleek Chassis was backed to win $1 million in 1 bet today with Sportingbet @$11.

I'll be on FORENSICS. Two reason's. He is in my favourite stable, and his name is a very cool name. Something that I have always wanted to get into. Fraud will have to do me for now...lol

Hmmm now there is a good name for a horse... Fraud.

LOL isn't it funny...yano I don't even look at who barracks for who. When it comes to racing, couldn't give a toss who we go for in the footy...lol

I just like the name and trainer as I said. I'll be at the football though, but we have a TAB close by. Will sneak out to have a look.

Latest Slipper news is Murtajil to be vet checked after a week of persistent rumours that all is not well, after shifting a plate before trackwork Tues.

Husson Lightning to have blinkers 1st time, same trick DH used on Miss Finland last year.

isnt it just :D

Its like any sport - you can have a great rivalry on one level and come together when its something universal

Name is a beauty - Hawks is a brilliant trainer, and you know that Ollie will always give 100%...not sure on the barrier though

Ollie is riding like a man possessed. I bet there are a few that might be wanting him back as their no 1 jock soon.

He is on my favourite horse saturday too, the Cat. He rides him a treat! Small field, though if he is on song, home he goes! Might be a good day out for the great man on Saturday.

I agree, I don't think they had any confidence in him. And when you really look at it. He is still the best in the business in my opinion. There are your Williams', Shinns', Newett etc. But I'd still have my money on Ollie. Great bloke, Great Jockey.

I'm taking a team into this race, so many chances so no big single plays.
Bit like a greyhound race though, miss the start and it's goodnight.

My plays are:

P/L +648 units
Selection.............To win.....place
Sleek Chassis.........5 @ 11
Hurried Choice........6 @ 24......6 @ 7+
Deferential.............6 @ 20
Incumbent.............4 @ 35......4 @ 8+
Forensics...............7 @ 13

Great ride from Ollie, hard to believe he'd never won a Slipper
Considering how often Freedie's won it

Yea Ollie on fire.
I was surprised Murtajill started so short given the barrier but then got off to a great start and looked a winner straightening for home but was first beaten with 300 to go.

Chinchilla Rose got off to a terrible start, his race was over before it even started.
