Golden State Warriors thread - All Star 5

No doubt he should be in the conversation, though will be near impossible to swing the momentum behind the Harden bandwagon. Respect the numbers he is putting up, but surely a couple of hairline cracks begin to appear soon...no one but Harden having fun on that squad.

Harden and Westbrook are next level stat padders. Both guns but with three prolific scorers in Westbrook, George and Anthony, a good centre in Adams and a solid core of reserves OKC couldn't even get past 5th placed Utah in the first round of the finals. Who cares if Westbrook averages a triple double? The Rockets fared much better but have since dropped back into the pack. For all of Harden's scoring they're 5th in the Western Conference. The fundamentals of the game haven't changed. If you score 100 then it doesn't matter if one player scores 30 or 40 or 50 if the opposition scores 110. LeBron rarely leads the comp in anything (scoring leader once, never an assist/rebound leader) but has been the best player in the game for a decade. He helped Miami win and he carried Cleveland on his back. That's why people compare him to Jordan.

Need to get back into the flow after the AS break.

Just beat the Kings who are coming along nicely.

Lose to a Harden less Rockets, thought our D in the third was good, other than that they played harder.

We played like we expected to win.

Kenneth Faried back to his Denver days, helps to get PT, hard to win any game where he is hitting 3's though.

Pretty poor effort tonight.

No energy.

We shouldn't lose games at home when the other team has their best player out and Steph shoots 9/18 (with 5 threes) and Durant 11/19 (with 3 threes).

Why do we always seem to be the ones who lose games off ridiculous circus shots from great defence?

But also... Durant you’ve got nail your free throws in the clutch. That’s not good enough from a 90% free throw shooter who’s supposed to be one of the best in the world.

I'm guessing he's a great insurance policy if Cousins goes down. He also has played in the system and knows how to set a great screen for Steph/Klay. Cousins still hasn't mastered that yet.

It will be great to see him back as a Warrior!

What's happened to our dominance at Oracle?

23-9 at Home but 5 losses by 20 or over.....

Heading over to watch 2 games at Oracle at the end of this month, hoping they come to play.
