Was as good as I've seen him play this year and possibly last year. He gave us something around the ground!!!! We looked so much more dangerous as a result.
Is it a coincidence that he was our sole ruckman in the 2nd half? Don't know. But his form was putrid when he rucked with Hamish years ago also.
Maybe we have to go with him as our sole ruckman, but we can't have him fading badly in the last quarter as he has had a tendency to do. It is a dilemma.

We have the same problem with Daw and Petrie as we have had with Goldy and every other ruckman, they are very one-dimensional in the roles they can play.

Petrie plays okay from the goal square leading out, he can't play CHF. Daw can't play CHF either. Tarrant is the only KPF we have that can play CHF. Hansen can... as a pinch hit, but he shouldn't be relied on in that role.

I think if we are going to play Daw as a ruck relief then he has to spend the majority of the time on the pine, can rack up a lot of his minutes in the first half, phased out in the third quarter then subbed off for a runner as Godly rucks the last quarter with himself mostly and a bit of dish relief.

With the rotation cap at 120, we don't really need 3 mids on the pine all the time, you can pace out 120 rotations with 2 mids on the pine, we barely crack a hundred these days with the rotations.
