Down two key position backmen and I thought he was superb on Kennedy for the majority of the second half. Kennedy was probably the one who could have cracked the game wide open but Goldy proved he is one of our best swingman on our list. Top stuff!

You have to have players like Goldy in your side. Never bought into the 'drop him' opinions. The guy has mongrel, heart, never gives up, huge work rate and loves the club. Perfect example of the stats don't tell the full story

Had a season-high 11 tackles today. Brings his total to 53 for the season, good enough for 13th in the league. Is also Top 60 in One Percenters.

Just does whatever job is asked of him, forward or back. Having a career year is the Sack

Goldy is a bit of a barometer for our pressure

I love him but he prob didn't play well against crows and our pressure is down and we lose.

He was superb today as was Maxy but the haters won't recognise Maxy

Unbelievable effort by Goldy today.

His tackling and chasing in our forward 50 in the first half was fantastic and then to go back and play on JK , coming off 11 goals in the 2nd half was outstanding.

Giving away height and weight, he is the epitome of guts and Collingwood never say die attitude.

Thank goodness we didn't drop him and rightly so, after an average game against Adelaide. We would have been screwed !

Glad a thread was made because I thought he was the difference. Created a couple of goals for us with his forward pressure and then was outstanding on Kennedy. Amazed he was not in the listed best.

Agree, he played out of his skin, particularly in the second half. His pressure was one of the reasons the Weagles got worn down.

Correct. Yet while we sing Reid's praises we continue to undervalue the sack. They don't compare as players but with a fit and fighting Reid (will that ever happen?) our list 22 has both depth and versatility.

He played well last night and is important for us. He does however need to keep his feet and not fall to ground all the time. Its probably the one flaw he has in his game

Was outstanding. To go back and nullify one of the best tall forwards in the competition was just a brilliant effort. I'd be keeping him back and give Karnezis a crack up forward.

The beauty with Goldy is his versatility. Can impact the play whether it's back or forward. Having a great year.
