In that interview just a few minutes before he said he looked forward to catching up with the senior players for a drink in a few weeks
Lynch & Mackay.

Disappointing Talia doesn't want to attend the B&F as leaves a sour taste on what has been an exemplary career. Hope he changes his mind, but I gather he didn't react well to his contract not being extended.

I actually hope he can get his body right & play another couple of years at a contending club.

Hard to reconcile not attending the B&F with what he posted initially

Hopefully he comes to his senses

Is it hard to reconcile?

The club sacked him, he's "shattered" and probably pissed off. Why would he want to attend their events any more?

If he wants to play at another club then acting like a spoilt child probably isn't helping his case.

Because of the privilege and honour it's been to represent the AFC over the last 12 seasons and that he's loved every minute.

It's a blow to his pride no doubt but it happens. He isn't the first and won't be the last - and as a senior player he should understand how the game works better than most.

Are people genuinely surprised? It’s been well documented over the years that there’s a strong clique within the long standing senior playing group at this club

The club has not offered him a contract, he has been injured for 18ths

It's not like he has been playing, and been in ripping form

The club has also helped him set himself up for life, paid he well and helped him create good networks to invest his money wisely...

Since even before 2017 there has been a culture at the club of entitlement behaviour by our senior group

This smacks of that behaviour

This certainly makes you wonder

Ivan Maric attended even after he got ditched. Talia would have been there then too

yeah well after talia went whack at the club Rooch called him out on it called it a drive by and then he backtracked his comments a little....incredibly disappointing from talia but I think he’s not come to the realisation yet, he was a heart and soul player for the club, IMO shouldn’t of done the interview At this time too early and should have waited a little longer to come to terms with the clubs decision.

Maybe his cat has a pre-emptive illness that will prevent him attending?

Seriously though, it’s a shame to see a club legend go out on a sour note, but i still think we’ve made the right decision.

Plenty of people are complaining about Talia's comments.

The same people that have been complaining about our club's incompetent management, woeful on field results and total capitulation since 2017.

Talia has gone from playing in a GF, to seeing his employer blow up the joint, finish last, then sack him after being injured for a year.

You don't think Talia might have some question marks over how things are handled? He has not and never will be a club apologist that toes the party line at all costs.

Do you want him to just sit there and say he's happy how thing panned out for him?

Might listen tomorrow while working but it sounds very piss weak. He's the last senior player I'd expect to throw the toys out of the cot. Might be missing key info though.
Apparently he and Lynch were not very accommodating to the club during Covid. So potentially a bit of love lost there

Nobody is saying that but he should be turning up to the b&f with his teammates. Can say what he likes about the club. Suggesting he's been delisted because of injury is a bit dishonest.
