Interesting discussion really. The things people do hey.

Almost 1 in 2 when you think about it. If I was a millionaire in my 20-30's I wouldn't even had thought about nose candy - would have found far more stupid things to waste it on probably.

Missus and I had our first pingas at about 40 and first cocaine about 45. Indulged here and there for about 8 years in total but haven't touched it the last couple. Wouldn't hesitate if I was out and it was around the place though.

Young, high profile, lots of money, lots of alcohol affects performance greatly = coke

I'm sure someone like Doedee wouldn't really get around it but I can imagine others that seem like the type.
Are you talking Adelaide?

Interested in who you think these "seem like the type" (players) are and what your criteria is?

Have heard a lot of people say comments like this, or similar high amount.

Is there any proof that it would be that high, or just an assumption? If so, why would it be. Certainly 40-50% of the general public wouldn't be doing it.
Their age demographic, disposable income, stress of the job and professional athletes known to take more risks. In the offseason players would have a good time and so they should. It's their business as long as they also keep fit I guess.

Of people with plenty of cash in their 20s-30s it wouldnt be far off that 50% figure.
Just so happens that afl players all fit in this category.

The cost is the only thing stopping the number being a lot higher in the general populus.

Pepsi doesnt have much of a market share so logically Coke is the preferred market leader

I'm actually shocked at how common this is amongst the new generation.

It's definitely sky rocketed since my day to the point where every one has their own supply and people spend as much time in toilets as out in the bars.

I feel Rory more the VB type that will force the club to remove the captaincy from him. That said, it's an exceedingly rare event, so VB was very special in that regard. At best, Rory hands it back after next season.
One more season of Rory as captain just feels like delaying for no benefit. I think the subliminal effect of a natural evolutionary moment helps mature the group. Call it progress if you like but I believe the team is ready to publically hang out the "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT" sign.
Why not now? What would another year of Rory achieve that Tom could not?
Thoughts? Keen to hear if it's just me...😁

Sloane seems like a bloke that hates speaking to the media. Have a look at some of his interviews in the 2nd half of the season and he looks downright depressed. Seems on auto pilot and not the happy go lucky guy of 5 or 6 yers ago. I get the feeling he would gladly give it to Doedee and likely would be fast tracking the process in the offseason.

What I like about Doedee is that he handles dickhead reporters with ease and is a good media performer as well as being a good leader on field.

Talia was removed from the leadership group last year. This was Nicks first year as coached. I feel he may be disgruntled with the coach, possibly his injury was miss managed and how the Walker situation panned out.

To add to this- pressure on skin folds and keeping weight down especially in season - alcohol = excess calories, illicit drugs = 0 calories
