There argument would be for insufficient force, which is the next step down

It still wouldn't have mattered.

In changes to this year
"Selected jumper punches and strikes to the head that have insufficient force to constitute a Low Impact offence will be processed as a fixed financial sanction under Attempt to Strike." So even with that lower step down it would have still been his third offence, and becomes the automatic match ban of 2 games down to 1. They can whine all they like but they need to read the AFL Tribunal rules.

It was judged to be low impact, so I have no idea why they are trying to whinge.

Because whinging is the default mode for Beveridge?

It's all part of the same philosophy that has them looking like 18 seagulls at a chip factory every single time the ball goes out of bounds. Dispute everything, because there are never consequences. Call a club "disgusting" for following due process to get clarity from the umpiring department, but whinge like anything when due process produces an outcome you don't like. Encourage players to throw the ball at every opportunity, then spin a line in the media that there's a top secret Bulldog handball club.

Wasn't it Wood jumping up and down carrying on like a jerk after Tex bumped JJ into the post?

Seeing as it's his 3rd and Tex's first for the year it's clear as day who the "dirty player" is.

Bunch of cheating hypocrites those bulldogs:
- Bontempelli slyly "nominating" for the ruck to draw a free kick.
- Picken appealing for out on the full when he knew full well it came off his own boot.
- Beveridge calling Pyke disgusting for publicly questioning the umpires when he himself was in trouble for making a far more damning criticism only a year earlier.

Just call them the "Double Standard Dogs" a disgusting club all round.

Also the most rough looking supporter base as well. 78% wouldn't get a date at last call.
