Butts good. Chayce did some nice things. Pedlar showed he will have it.

Umpires are worthy of a ****ing investigation after that display. Just enraging umpiring. Brisbane immune from htb and deliberate, defenders can do whatever they want without a call.

We wouldn't have won the game, don't get me wrong. But it would be nice to watch a game and see it officiated evenly and consistently.

Football is a cruel game. To walk away with a hiding from that effort is genuinely deflating.

That said, I think the summary is the effort was good, the kids all played well, I can't wait for Lachlan Gollant to get a debut, and we probably lost that game on Tex being subbed.

Good
Berry - all class
Pedlar - did some nice things
Lyons (woops)
Seedsman

Bad
The Laird, Keays and Sloane trio was torched again. I know the first two gotgood stats as they always do but it doesn't equate to us playing well.

Bad
Kelly - bloody hopeless and constantly rewarded with more games. Gives away goals week after week after getting the least dangerous forwards.
Rowe - Doesn't tackle, kick goals or hit targets. Just ducks for free kicks. Hopeless.
Mackay - Never gives enough for such an experienced player.
RT - Thought he was very poor. Lots of sooking and not putting himself in good positions. Tex going off didn't help.
Sloane - Doesn't do enough for club captain and should stop being a hero and get the damn surgery you idiot.

Ugly
Frampton - I never want to see this bloke play AFL for us again. He scored negative 1 goals with the one he spoiled that was going through.

Far out, the amount of goals they got from us not getting a free we deserved and them getting ones they didn't deserve, was probably worth 5-7 goals. I mean last years wooden spooners vs one of the premier faves but they need the help of course.

Apart from that, I didn't mind the game, yer it was annoying but until the umps made us drop our heads we were more than competitive. For a young side and inexperienced side that was good enough for me.

Our young tall forwards will slowly keep learning what they have to do, which is just scrap like buggery, if we break even in the air against key backs thats more than enough for us to win.

Nicks will complain we went away from what worked in the second half, and its true, but I don't blame us given all that went on.

Pedlar looked good.

Liked the move of Doedee forward, need to do stuff like that.

If we had more experience we could've troubled them a bit more, but if we do that we dont develop youth.

Butts caned hipwood.

Berry was good.

Jones probably best game ever for us I reckon. Growing week to week.

McHenry very good, Shoenberg good too, going against some fancied rivals.

Smith and Seed were good, pity they both missed those long range shots.

Not sure what to make of Hately.

Hope tex is alright but wont mind if him being out gives Berg or Fog a chance.

Will we rest Rowe for Murph? Will Lynch come in?

Not sure what the logic behind the Doedee forward move was. He can struggle even in a slightly less than ideal defensive role, let alone the other end of the ground.

Meanwhile you have Murray who has shown less than nothing in his specified defensive role, but has had some token forward contributions. Yet he was kept strictly in the back half.

Great
Berry

Bad:
Our KPD depth. AFC for goodness sake get off your asses and trade in some genuine help for Butts down back. If Butts goes down we don't have another decent KPD in our squad. Allir Allir was a future 2nd rounder so they are out there. It's currently costing us 4 to 5 goals a game having only one decent KPD each game.

Ugly
Last quarter. Moving Doedee forward.

Frampton seriously why as a forward? Just please not again.

We got our matchups completely wrong on their small forwards tonight. Brown should have been on McCarthy & Hamill on Cameron.

Our tall defenders take a bow.

Sloane kicked a great goal, but we are stupid playing him.

Should be giving the bash crew Sloaney's midfield minutes

Worst umpiring in sometine. No duty of care, no clue about insufficient attempt, no clue about holding the ball. Just terrible standard.

GOOD

Seedsman
- almost certain for our BnF (Laid and Keys only real shouts), should be AA wingman.

Berry - hard as nails, clean, tough and has a real crack. The next Sloane.

Jones - must admit I had wrote him off onto the scrapheap... But seems to have find a nice spot at Halfback.

Butts - smashed Hipwood, probably our find of the year.

OK

Pedlar
Schoenburg
McHenry (stiff to not be in good)
ROB (fell away a bit at the end)

Bad/General
thoughts

Umpiring
Frampton
Our skill level... Seemed they were playing on a different surface at times
Structure, fell apart too easily at times
No real pressure forward
Tex's neck
Charlies arrogant spray at Kelly, probably banter but looked nasty.

Good

Berry excellent. Pedlar looked promising on debut. Butts and Jones solid down back. Seed important, though retains a penchant for running himself into trouble. McHenry showed endeavour early.

Sticking with them for three quarters.

Bad

Tex's injury.

Playing Sloane.

Frampton's existence.

The likelihood we'll bring back Lynch this week.

Kelly's repeated idiocies.

Hately remains quite the disappointment.

Ugly

Umpires.

I thought we played well for 2 and a half quarters. It took about 10 minutes after half time for Walker's absence to see us totally fall apart.

Up against a genuine premiership contender and missing our best forward, that's a good effort in my books.

The reason Walker's absence hurt us so badly is that Frampton is one of the worst key position forwards in the game right now. He cannot mark, he cannot even attempt marks in pack situations, he is weak at the contest and he can't kick goals. His selection was absolutely moronic and shows our coaches have short term memories preferring immediate SANFL form over AFL form from just a month or two ago. If you want to teach Fogarty a lesson about effort, don't pick a guy that literally cannot be bothered competing in pack situations.

Berry is building very nicely but desperately needs more midfield time. So does Schoenberg, and Pedlar was fantastic in there when he got a chance. Unfortunately, we believe that playing Rory Sloane with an injured finger is more important than playing young midfielders in the midfield.

Butts was close to best on ground. He destroyed Hipwood. Seedsman quality again, and both Keays and Laird played their typical game. Good to see Sholl have more impact than prior weeks too. Really liked McHenry's game even though he only finished with 12 touches.

On the other hand, Hately didn't deserve to be even the sub, he is miles off it. We are wasting games on Mackay, and in my opinion Kelly had a stinker. O'Brien also struggled against a mid-tier ruckman, the sort he should be beating.

We have plenty of young, promising guys performing well in the SANFL, it's time to use them
