Good:
Gibbs was very nice again, Cameron + small pick downgrades was worth it
Laird again, just keeps trucking on
Seedsman has been one of our best this year, was almost in ANZAC Day form tonight
Tex kicked 3
Douglas' 2nd half
Thought McGovern's presence was felt all through the night
Mackay really taking the game on from half back was great to see
Murphy has so much heart, he's a best 22 talent

Bad:
Milera got physical and tried, but his kicking radar was quite off
Sloane was not right, but he'll be better for the run
The sooner CEY is out of the side, the better
We look really laconic at times, almost like we don't want to chase
Douglas' 1st half

It's April. Big wins or small wins - doesn't matter. Just need the wins. We should understand that by now. We were average tonight. It was a grind in the first half and not pretty - our first 3 games haven't been pretty. But I'd rather develop a team mentality that is up for a grind than one that smashes teams when we're on but wilters at the first hint of trouble.

2W 1L. No key injuries. Forget the replay, rest up, move on, and make it 3W 1L.

Bad: basic skill errors, allowing a poor side to bring us down to their level.

I say rest. Was walking around ok, no ice/strapping

In the corresponding game last year, saints away at etihad, we only won by 50 points, so to get 49 with the injuries we have and with them coming off a baking was a superb result.
We rolled over them as I thought we would. Its good we're doing a lot of positional rotations this year.

Hard to take things out of the game, seemed super flat, crowd unbelievably quiet at the end.

Nearly every kick we went in forward with was long. The only short kick was lynch's to greenwood. Need more variety.

A lot of our players when we weave and dodge thru traffic, get free but then cack themselves and just throw it on the boot. Need to fix.

Good range of goal scorers. Good range of goal scoring methods.

We did some nice play where we hit up lots of 45's to cut thru the middle.

All played well or ok really. No one terrible. No one particularly good. Gibbs best maybe. Gov improved this week. Murphy pretty quiet. Dougy good. Milera quiet. Doedee good. Jenkins quiet but did ok in ruck.

We let a lot of ball get out the back again at our half back. Lucky we were well and truly on top. That's one of the things that cost us against Ess.

Seeds was excellent, Gibbs is so damn good, Mackay was very solid. Jacobs improved in the second half.

Milera with 10 touches? THREE in the second half. The next person who compares him with McLeod should be banned.

Weird game.

Good :

Gibbs. Quiet 3rd but very good in the others.
Dougy. Really maligned and made a couple of bad errors but he was still involved in some important plays. I think he had a good game.
Mackay played really well. That's him at his best imo. Links up. Uses it well. Had a good start to the year.
Brown solid as always.
Doedee. Gun! Gun! Can't be more happy for a crows player.
Laird. Saw him kick on his left which was a strange sight.

Seedsman! Where did that come from. Pushing for bog. Not a huge fan but that was a great game.

Bad :
Sloane
Tex. Had a few good moments but was largely unsighted.
Atkins
CEY for the most part. Ended well.
Lynch rusty. Had his moments where you just know we need to get him back in asap though. Need to get fog back in somehow though as he does provide that mongrel.

Side note:

That accidental Brisbane /Carlton supporter was good value
