Your right in that it was similar, except there was no real pressure and it was round 1 thrashing not a final interstate to win the game.

Except I believe kick came in the first quarter when we were losing.

Arguably our best 3 players on the day were Laird, Cameron and Atkins. They were two rookie draft picks and pick 81.

I hate to sound like Vader, but the majority of our best 22 are locks, it's only the bottom 3-4 where changes will come from and even that's hard after the weekend, but changes are coming if we are going to fit Tex, Lever and eventually Brad in.

Nah, if you really wanted to sound like Vader you'd need to use "pecking order" in your post.

Menzel got 3 JLT games, gives us a small forward which allows us to rotate Cameron into the midfield more and had a excellent game.

He is a lock.

The loser is between Hampton, Knight, Mackay and Lynch if we go with three talls (and form).

Agree but it is funny that we call Menzel a small forward, He the type of player we need to allow Eddie a break and keep CC in the middle. All 3 have a defensive game and all 3 can score goals, Except Eddie who is on another level when it comes to goal scoring.
So Yes have to agree on Menzel a Lock

very happy mezel played well ... i hope he can even get better!! still has the x factor .. actually him, eddie and charlie and a few others(mcgovern!) that can rotate the half forward have x factor... i dont think afc has ever had as much x factor since macca days.

Post game the stats had it 39-38 in the favour of GWS, and during the game we were about +8 at half time, with the Giants being +9 for the second half.

Then again, the stats have been off all round, not just the third party sites like fanfooty, but Supercoach, and the AFL live page and apps, with the stats up and down like a yoyo, and when they were up, they were frequently out of date or just plain wrong.

Agree with this. I think our forward line is so strong they make up for our terrible forward 50 entries. If we could kick into forward 50 with more precision we'd be at risk of breaking the 200 point mark on some of our games.

Maybe but we'll have to learn how to kick set shots if that is to happen.
