Good:
100 points again is a positive, despite how hard we make it look.

Fogarty showing he might have arrived. Another pre season with Burgess hopefully solidifies it.

Soligo hopefully gets the Rising Star. Worrell good. Schoenberg's second halves are crazy good - just gotta put it together.

Bad:
We struggle against big bodied midfielders from any team, whether they're 1st or 18th. I want Rankine and looks like we'll get him but we need midfielders more. Way more.

We should be putting a side like North to the sword.

ROB 🤷‍♂️

Ugly:
I flick on 5AA and Graham Cornes is commentating an AFL game in 2022.

Good: Ben Cunnington back playing football

Kicked over 100 points
In Fog we trust
Schoenbergs goal
Young players wrestling back the midfield
Soligo
Some of Worrells work

Bad
Second quarter
Putting Keayes in the midfield
No response by Van Berlo until half time
Broken tackles

Ugly
Greenwood is s**t
Playing Anderson after he got knocked out...if a player is stumbling and falling after a big hit, don't play him, they stop boxing matches for that
Keayes as a set shot, have more faith in McHenry from the 50 metre arc

Except for our midfield getting absolutely pantsed in the 2nd, a pretty solid performance overall, with not a whole lot of poor performances

Geez, our forward line has some talent, doesn't it? Hopefully we can get Rankine over the line to add to it

Good: Dawson, Fogarty, Thillthorpes hand eye coordination, smart taps, a few good contested marks. More experience and he'll sort out some poor kicking decisions. Jones and Schoenberg's last quarter. McHenry was alright. We're a pretty tough team, usually the opposition comes off second best in big collisions.

Bad: Doedee was doodoo. I'd trade if we can. First 3 quarters were bad.

Good:
The response after half time. Testament to the never die attitude being built at west lakes. Yes Nicks gets credit for that. Years gone by we would have lost that match by 30. All played well after half time.

Bad:
Nicks was outcoached. Tactically he was poor. Its not the first time star players got off the chain against us.

Ugly:
The inconsistency with the umpiring. First half was atrocious but at least the umpires backed off.

I can't work out why they aren't playing Greenwood up forward. He did some of his best work for us up there.

Looks like our wear em down plan can take care of the weaker sides, even with them getting massive massive rides from the umpires.
McAdam's hammy gets Newchurch in hopefully.
Was hoping Fog would get 5. Going well.
Schoenberg back on track, hopefully wins goal of the week.

Whipping boy report:
Jones almost went a game without a howler, though I 90% blame Smith for that stuff up at the end.
McHenry pretty good.
Murphy was good.
Worrell good again.

One of those games where the bad 2nd quarter revealed a lot of issues.

But Dawson, Fog, Soligo good all game
Pretty much our standard quarters which has occurred for a majority of the season where we completely switched off. At least we turned it around in the 2nd quarter unlike what we did against Collingwood and GWS.

Whatever the actual change was that turned around the midfield at half time, that was the game right there. That was excellent.
Not sure exactly what it was though.

Soligo started at the first centre bounce, Keays got moved out.
Schoey stopped sucking.
But I think there was more to it than that.

Also: Not sure Keays is quite right, didn't seem to be manic, and intense. Lots of jogging. Unusual.

Is Schoenberg now the player who has a disappointing game in general, and an atrocious one "when it counts". But he scores a spectacular goal near the end so all is forgiven?

Yep. Developing player who's struggling a bit but ends up helping us win
